Christmas Eve is my birthday and spending it in England makes me realize how fragile and wonderful this chance at life has become.
Six years ago a vacation like this would have never been possible, I never had any goals for future happiness.
I was sitting today, looking at my finances. And looking at the price of my airline ticket to get here and the money I've spent and will spend over the next three weeks.
And I see there is a really good chance that when I get back I will have enough money from my paychecks (Vacation pay) to cover this whole trip... basically a free holiday.
Yes, I'm enjoying my holiday but I also realize I need to stay on top of these things because I have a strong fear of going back to the way I was...
Anyway, Christmas will be spent in the presence of newly made friends and my girlfriend. We are cooking the goose and I'll be carving... my mouth is already watering...
Goose and turkey and all the fixings... I can't wait...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
I saw my Manchester Cousin and his kids yesterday Morning at his Parents' home. They'll be heading to Ballyliffin at Innishowen, County Donegal, to see his in-laws before returning to the humdrum of Teaching in Manc Land in January.
Now relaxing and enjoying Boxing Day!!!
