Received notice today that the flight insurance I had will pay for my three extra days in America. Paid for the hotel, food, and the rental car... first time I ever made a claim and it paid for all the years past.
Today is my two week anniversary in England. Got my Health Insurance number and got in a medical clinic and something hard to do (from what I've heard) a NHS dental office.
Also got my National Insurance number which is similar to America's social security number.
And have applied for three jobs. One was kind of a mistake, I did the interview 36 hours after landing... I was still experiencing jetlag... anyway things are moving forward.
Went to a job club last week and they gave me a bit of interesting info. 80% of the jobs available are not listed anywhere. Not on the internet or in papers... they're listed in windows or just walking in and asking.
One of the three jobs I applied for I am pretty confident I will get a serious look at. I applied on-line and did three sections of the interview. At the end of each section it evaluates whether a person is suitable or not and each one I passed...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

Next Wednesday I'll be doing a Level 2 Health and Safety course in a local Hotel. This is part of my STRIDE program. Progress.
I am on Step 1 in UA and hoping to move to Step 2 asap. Now that I've come to a new surrender, I hope the Psychic Change will materialise this time.

The stress of my old job was pretty intense and I'm ready for just a casual job. Not needing money for health insurance is a huge expense I'm no longer concerned with...
I am learning to live on less now. It's gonna be tough, but I have survived a similar crisis to that before.
