When I was deep in debt I wasn't concerned about income, I was more concerned about expenses. Why? In reality, I have no control over income. I can lose my job, my hours can be cut, or I get sick. There are many ways my income can change and I had no control over this change.
Expenses on the other hand I can control and if I do say so, I have done very well with this challenge and while I constantly still look for ways to cut my expenses even more, the reality is I have very little left to cut.
So... finally it is time to look at income. And not "hard" income. I work enough, I'm not getting a second job, but I do want to bring in a little more income then I have.
The thing I have is my website. The last couple of years I have done pretty well with selling ads to be placed on the site... but I also have merchandise which I have never really marketed.
So, I finally touched some of the money I have specifically for the website and placed my CD's on an independent music site. There was a place to do it for free BUT for the first time I spent a little money to properly advertise these two CD's.
Well, low and behold I checked tonight and I have had a sale through iTunes. Now it is time to start showing it more. I will create a facebook page for these products, as well as my books and start devoting more time to the selling of these "children" of mine.
To get things moving, I'm going to offer my first book for free with the purchase of another product. I was also contacted by a site to do some writing for them. It is free, but I'll have my own page, with my bio, and links to my site, so it is more free marketing.
Next is to get my first two books back in publication, strictly as e-books and set the selling price at 99 cents each...
This will be the first time that I'll put any type of effort in selling my products, I'm actually getting excited by the idea...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ
