I have been using four sites to check my reports and score for free. I know we can get reports once a year for free, but these are free all the time. In fact, these ones will even e-mail you once a week with changes to your scores or alerts of possible changes. I won't give the links. I will say if you google them you can go right to their site.

1. Credit Karma - works with TransUnion... gives you a score and your report as well as your Vantage Score, which I guess is used more nowadays for car and home loans... this site also grades your report on an A to F scale.

2. Credit Sesame - works with Experian

3. Quizzle - not sure if this site is linked to any credit agency

4. Credit.com - another site that works with Experian and gives a Vantage Score and a grade.

I signed up about a month ago after doing some background checks on them all. They are all legit and some business sites even recommend using them.

Only downfall I have seen is they don't show payments right away.

Credit Karma goes into detail comparing your debts with your income. I didn't go that far in depth with them. I'm just using them to learn more about my scores and my reports... very valuable free tools.

Like I said, I did some checking on them before I joined and they are all safe...
