I've faced fears most of my life and with a Higher Power on my side I have managed to have these fears eliminated or at least minimized.
I have faced my fear with alcoholism and am closing in on 20 years sobriety... I've faced drug addiction and recently celebrated 22 years of being drug free.
I've face my fears with a dysfunctional family growing up and a dysfunctional marriage and have grown from it.
The one fear I've always struggled with though is debt. Now that I'm debt free I want to stay that way... which at times can be counter productive to growing my finances.
Today, I've started a new journey with money and debt. I will start using my CC that has cash rewards and then pay it off at the end of the month.
Today, I paid the remaining balance on my dentist bill, got some gas, for my car, and got groceries... all paid with a credit card.
I have been scared to death of over using my CC's... this is not for abusing but rather for decreasing expenses and saving more money...
I'm really looking forward to seeing how much money can be saved by doing this....

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

It was your idea that got me really looking at this. And what you mention above is how I'm looking at it... it is a way to earn money...
1. Fear.
2. Self-Seeking.
3. Selfishness.
4. Inconsideration.
5. Dishonesty.
I was at Birmingham all weekend for an OA convention. Although it provided good experience strength and hope, the reality was I still have the fear of ending up penniless. I had to chair a DA meeting on Skype yesterday and I dozed off due to my insomnia. I should've asked someone to hold fort for me.
I bought a journal when I was at the convention. It will at least commit me to commit my thoughts into writing.
There is a reason 12 Step Groups speak as I and me it is non-confrontational, it is non-threatening and the person who is speaking this way takes ownership of their defects.
By working the 12 Steps, when I got to Step 9 I began to see that The Promises were coming true
Here is a video I made on The Promises not selling anything, I just love these thoughts and yes they do come true. Where I live, at the end of every meeting it is closed with The Promises it sends me out into the world with a load of peace
