I am really getting tired of getting screwed by the credit card companies. BofA sent me a letter informing me that they will be charging a $59.00 annual fee starting in May, they cut my line of credit drastically on my cards rendering them almost useless. Chase just closed my credit card account and I have two platinum checking accounts with them. Citi bank charges a 29.99% interest rate on all their cards. Looking at my credit report at what looks like I am maxing my cards out, they also cut my lines of credit drastically. What have I done to deserve this? Nothing, I always pay my bills promptly. I have tried to talk to Bof A but it's like hitting your head against a wall.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

{{{hugs}}}
I rather pay as I go or don't have it.
But, I find it difficult to be without them as well at times. The thing is, my credit was ruined after a divorce in 2000 anyways. Never went back to them. I have to say, I don't like the grade card system of others...to me this is like playing with gangsters as friends.
I don't have nothing now....so...maybe I'm wrong. I haven't had a job since the recession hit. I keep applying so I can get my credit back up....kinda hard to do. I'm not gifted with this area, I think because I've been so intimidated by so many in the past.
I would like to learn more about building credit and all without credit cards....because without them its hard to save now for that car or down payment on an apartment....which is what I have to do. Cash only policy I operate from....but limits me from much in my situation towards climbing.
So, my point is...I'm not sure if its good to be without them or with them....because one can get a divorce or loose job and then you have them hitting ya in the face with all those fees....like everyone is having here.
But then there is my end, no cards...and difficult to build credit to have anything...and have to rely, like I said, on job with alot of cash to have anything.
shruggs...I hope to learn a great deal from you all in these groups....
I'm needing a lot of help in knowing how to climb....if there are any money gurus here....that is...that would be willing to share....I'm half blind...so reading is difficult for me at times. So...
Just letting you know, I know how ya feel....been there and done that...my mother right now with her credit card fees...and my son with BofA....all those fees....he is consolidating and getting out of cards too. then hopes to get just one later on to keep for emergencies.
