This community is for people who are struggling to meet financial obligations of any kind. Financial challenges include everything from the day-to-day challenges of making ends meet to managing credit card debt to bankruptcy. Well, got back to America late last night... a 22 hour journey.
Woke up this morning and decided to head to my employers to see if my contract would be renewed. It ended up being a very welcoming atmosphere and was given a list of projects I need to get going on right away... so starting Monday, a new year will begin and a new journey with new goals will start.
Knowing I have a steady income coming in, I went to the banks and rearranged my finances to put more into savings (from checking) and put the balance of my holiday/vacation money back into savings as well.
After that, I made my first major purchase of the year - a new mattress. Put it on a credit card. I will get a bill on it in three weeks. I will save 33% of my next two checks for the payment, the last 34% will come from savings.
Friday it will be time to restock the fridge and get back into a routine....
So so so grateful for a second chance at life and with finances...

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
