Are you any good with computers? My 16 year old posts stuff on ebay for other people. It takes a little search engine knowledge to research the items and figure out thier worth and the ability to ship stuff but she makes 10 - 15% of the sale.

She just sold a candy dish for $ 75.00 because she found out if was hand blown.

do you have stuff stored that you don't use? Say clothes you don't wear, but are in decent condition? Or household items in good condition, etc. YOu can take those items to consignment shops and some places will give you cash right then and there for your stuff. Or they will give you money after the item sells. Or take stuff to a pawn shop....just an idea. Maybe have a garage sale, weather permitting. If you like children, you may be able to pick up a few babysitting jobs. Just a few ideas off the top of my head. I remember way back when I was 19 living on my own and going to college (worked full time). Never had enough money to survive. I lived in Florida at the time....use to walk around the neighborhood collecting aluminum soda cans. Would get bags full then would take them to the place that bought scrap metal. It was enough to get gas in the car.

Have you ever tried doing surveys on-line? I do them and earn about an extra $150 a month. Just a few weeks ago I did a "video survey" where the company sent me a webcam w/built in speaker and did the survey with them. It lasted about an hour, very simple day to day questions and they paid me $100.

I don't know what I would do without the money I make. It's a blessing.

I am unemployed and looking for ways to earn money. I can't sell my blood because I'm diabetic type 2. I have tried surveys but they always seem to tell me I'm not qualified after I've answered their questions.

I am starting to sell avon...if you know enough women and think you could sell a good amount im sure you could get atleast to your $60 you need, maybe not each week but it would be something. im pretty much in the same boat as you... hope this helped.

My mom and I sold Avon when I was in high school. It required us to order products for customers and have them delivered in cardboard containers to us and then we had to deliver them to the customer. This is probably good if you are in a building like an office or school building where you have access to people on a daily basis. Unfortunately I don't and I don't have a car to drive out to where people live. We ended up with lots of old Avon products we didn't use.

my experience with surveys has not been good. I'm never qualified to finish them and get credit for them. they seem geared to ppl who buy a lot of stuff, which I just can't.

I don't understand why anyone can say that you can't make money on surveys. Below are my earning for 1/2010 to 3/2010. They do pay and if your turned down for one survey, you just go on to the next. I'm turned down 1/2 of the surveys that I do. But I'm accepted for the other 1/2. Here are my earnings:

i get where ya comin from. I was searching everything shy of selling drugs on the street. that's kinda bad, ya know. but heck, what is a person to do? for a while this summer i too was unemployed and i thought i would need to travel out of state while my family stayed behind. things did pick up, but have still been pretty supressed i think.

heck even the company i am now employed for is 30million in debt and everyone where i work is wondering if we're going to have a job. here i go again . . . . oh well . . . .

in the mean time, i'm working where i can as much as i can. somedays, i just can't stand it anymore and i do get yelled at a bit from time to time.

during the summer, i did do the survey thing and made money on occassion but it took alot of time. i mean ALOT of time. Once you're more established as a survey taker and have all the info down and know how to fill the forms and stuff in quickly, then it works out better. but , it took alot of my time to try to get used to things.

i know someone who did the plasma, platelet, and blood donation thing too. Sometimes, it seemed that it took their bodies a while to recover from all the donating.

depending on where you live, you would be able to have evening childcare on weekends for 4-5 hours. i know here on the west coast some people pay up to $14/hr for their kids to be watched in their own home (2 children).

some places will let you work only 1 day per week for a few hours. how about wal-mart or target as a greeter or something. starbucks? I'm sorry if my ideas aren't helpful, i'm trying to think of anything to help.

Well i've started doing Mystery Shopping. Believe it or not there are some legitimate companies out there. One of them is http://www.customerimpactinfo.com/ its not much, $10 here and there but if you have the time (and some money to spare at times) you can effectively make a few bucks and get some free stuff (they reimburse you for stuff you buy if its part of the shop). good luck

Actually Whispering, I want to thank you for taking the time to reply. I tried surveys and I got discouraged. That's my biggest problem. I get discouraged way too easily, then I kind of quit. I know it's not right, but then I pick myself up again. I guess I'm gonna have to be more serious and put aside any disappointments.

I'm looking for work too, I know when school is going on, you can always apply to be a sub teacher, schools here in Tx, are asking that u get fingerprinted. They pay starting at 60 here where I sub at, and goes up depending on if u have a college degree or not.

if u like to do sales try tupperware, I have thought of it but not done it yet.

I'm lerry of surverys for once I filled out a thing for surveys and my inbox was flooded with stuff that turned out to be spam..Oh, it was a mess.I guess I did the wrong company, not sure, but it was a nightmare.

have you thought of putting up signs to do housekeeping, yard work, etc. if not that might help.
