In the past, whenever I went to a bank to discuss money, I was usually carrying about three months of statements and positive that I shouldnt be bouncing checks. Then after talking to an official for an hour or so, Id leave the bank like a scared dog with my tail between my legs.
Every time, yes it happened more then once, I was wrong. My account was a mess and my money was gone.
Today though I will go to the bank with a different accounting problem.
I was looking at my savings account last night on-line. On January 6th, $120 was placed in this account. I didnt do it. I was in England.
I did have money directly deposited into a checking account, but that is with an entirely different bank.
Anyway, for the first time in my life Ill go to the bank knowing I didnt make an accounting blunder. It will be interesting to see where this money came from. Who knows maybe it is legitimately mine.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
The bank said it could have taken quite awhile to find if I hadn't noticed it and then reported it. It felt good to be honest.
Truth be told, when I was drinking if this happened I would have spent all the money as soon as I could. Today, I can see how someone else worked for it and they earned it.
The good part was that it came from their savings account as well... so if they didn't check on-line they wouldn't have noticed that money was missing until April...
Anyway, alls well that ends well...
