It is allergy related for me. I take Allegra for my allergies and it eventually goes away.

If you find something that works please let me know.

I get chronic ear infections mostly right ear. My doctor thinks it's because of post nasal drip. So far I haven't had any luck. I saw an ENT doctor and he's sending me to an allergist.

i have a high pitched zinging ring =like a amp goin off 24/7...fam doc put me on B-12 shots 1awk 4mo didn't do athing for the ear but did have more energy thru the pain!& didn't get a cold lol

PS & my ears do pop alot/pressure like something is in there! have had everything checked(NO WAX OR EAR INFECTION) doc says its FIBRO= & spine off bulging c-4-c5 & T7 when i get myofascel release or craneal treatment it get lower & ears pop & clear alot! r

Is there any change in your hearing? I had a sudden hearing loss 3 1/2 years ago, leaving me single-sided deaf. I didn't have ear pain, just felt a fullness and things sounded distorted. If your hearing is affected this is actually a medical emergency and should be treated by a doctor ASAP.

That is crazy, TWGarret, b/c I've been thinking the same thing. I've seen an ENT who did a CT, and there's no blockage or anything. Just a severe deviated septum for me that's causing the trouble breathing ( I thought that was allery-related too).
He also said the TMJ can cause ear fullness and pain.
I want to know- What doesn't TMJ cause??? :)

I only get that when im high up, like in on a plane my ears pop, and I never like rides at 6 flags, always made my ears pop, dizzy, headache, felt like death. Do you live at a high altitude? Docs always tell me to take zyrtec for alergies but loredadine oct 10mg a day works by far the best for me. And i am alergic to everything outside, trees, mold, pollen and im fine with this med. Its much cheaper then zyrtec sometimes even the dollar store has it!

Also it is common for some people to get regular ear infections. I dont know why but alot of people have them all through life, i had them alot as a kid. But i think your ear thing may be fibro. Fibro causes everything, no wonder docs dont want to give us the diagnosis, cause its the only one youll ever need.

Hi, I have had this same problem going on since the beginning of June. I also have a swollen lymph node on the left side, that's the ear that's bothering me most . The ENT did a throat scope and hearing test. Doesn't seem to think it's anything serious. Told me to take Claritin-D but it didn't agree with me. He said he'd just keep a watch on it. I'm thinking it's a viral and the Doc did too, but TMJ is also a consideration. It just seems to me that with fibro, anything can happen. Good luck. I'm just glad to see people with the same kind of symptoms. Makes me feel less alone.

I currently have a sinus infection and get them often. They really affect my ears.

I like Allegra best but insurance won't pay for it anymore and make you pay for the expensive Zyrtec instead. I find that Benedryl or the generic of it works just as well.
