Hello All,
I am hoping to find some people close to my age, of 25, suffering w/ Fibromyalgia to have a closer support system. I just think finding people closer to my age would help me ask questions and find mechanisms to better cope w/ issues that arise for younger adults. If anyone is interested please let me know or add me as a friend!

I'm 30 got diagnosed at about 27 and I'm still learning new things! When I got diagnosed, I thought aww I'm young, I can deal with this! Some days are so bad I cry all day! Some days I'm fine, but I try to make the best of the good days! Anyway, I'm here if u wanna chat, sorry u got diagnosed with fibro.

I'm 36...waiting on an official diagnosis, but have a fairly certain one from my family dr. I am often on and, though I am "older" than you, I would still be willing to chat anytime!

I'm going to be 23 very soon. I was diagnosed at 19 but I've had symptoms since I was 17 or so.

It is good to talk to some of the older people here because you do learn a lot. But I know what you mean - it's like no one my age that i know in person has this thing and it's so incredibly frustrating. Plus I think it's easier for some of my older friends to say "don't go out an party, it's not that fun" when everyone my age is doing that sort of thing and I just want to feel normal!

I was diagnosed at 18, I've been unwell since I was 11. I'm currently getting a second opinion because it's likely that I don't have FMS, more likely RA. But they are so similar in many ways, so if you'd like to talk, please add me on here =]

I am 29 and have been dealing with various pain for over 10 years but really bad since I was about 21 or so. We do have different issues. I feel the same way. I lived and did so much as a teen and our 20's are supposed to be filled with lots of great things too. It bites being young and sick. REALLY BITES. Some people don't understand the issues. I had a doctor tell me once 'thats part of getting older'.UMMI AM 29! What part of that did you miss? He was in his 60's. Not being able to keep up with your other friends your age while they are out partying at what not is difficult. Or not being able to do things and having to cancel at the last minute is hard too. Go ahead and friend me. I would be happy to meet more our age dealing with this. Mostly everyone is great here regardless of age so you will find help all over the place! DS is a great tool and community, at least the Fibro board is.
