It's about 1 am and I'm wide ass awake.I hate hormones and honestly if I could spay myself I would. I did go to bed at like 8:30 because I was already really tired.
Yesterday was way too hot...today's not much better except that it's cloudy and going to rain later. I did get a little done in the spare room, mainly just getting boxes and stuff out, which did clear a good amount of space. I put all my Christmas shopping and wood in there, plus anything I need to keep away from the cats or that I don't have space for (I order a lot of pantry stuff/paper towels etc in bulk online because it's a lot cheaper, but I have a very small house with no basement and limited storage). I was especially lazy this year about actually taking the boxes from Christmas shopping out..I just took the stuff out of the boxes to wrap. After about 40 minutes I had to stop because even inside it was too hot. I'll try to organize what's left at some point but at least I can get around in there. Once I did that, got Miki out again and ate, I was done. I spent the rest of the afternoon cuddling with Skadi on my bed. I also submitted a few photos of her for the rescues calendar and I really hope she makes it on there. I may be a little biased but she's super cute and has come so far since I adopted her in January. The photo below is probably my favorite.
Today's back to a normal weekend instead of extra days off. Sigh. I need to go for a run, cook and go to the grocery store, and I'll probably meet bf later. And I'll try to get a nap in if I can. I have no motivation for any of it, fibro is reminding me there's rain coming, my stomach is acting up but I'm also hangry because PMS, and I have cramps. I wish I could take an entire month off at this point..
And as promised, an adorable photo of my little bobcat:

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

... observed a solar eclipse.

I need to get them less realistic toys.
Fingers are sore, sending love to all. For this, eight stitches in finger tips. sA fake mousey.
Oh and good news too, NO UTI FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is SUCH a relief, i see tne neurosurgeon on zoom on weds this coming week i am so nervous its the guy at U of M in ann arbor.
My one puppy, emmie is in heat ugh. We never had one this breed go in heat at 7 months normally 9 months or later, moms one was 2 years old. They do not get spayed until october 2nd because they have to do a hernia repair as well so it has to be a day they had noone scheudled yet on a surgery day becuase these two will tkae awhile. They will be close to 9 months old. But they said its actually better to allow them to go thru one heat to lower risk of cancer.
Ok i need to rest, my pain is so bad and were going out for dinner tomorrow with mom and a couple friends (of course matt too). Mom is making me a cake.
Strike up the band. My partner folded and put away his laundry band vacuumed the whole house. I almost fainted.
Time for dinner! Waves!
Hi, Miki. Thanks for posting check in! Skadi looks adorable. I hope she wins!
AngelaJo, that's terrible news about your knee. Why must you be 50? I thought a bad knee was a bad knee? I really hope a second opinion will get you what you need. Re: your age. I was so happy when I turned 40...it felt like the starting of a new chapter in my life. I hope it does the same for you next year. Hugs
Fantod, lol your partner....he finally banged out some chores! I hope he learned that it's better to roll up your sleeves and get it done than to complain.
Still in the triple digits! And for some reason clouds of mosquitos invaded our yard and made their way into our house. I've been spraying and smacking bugs all weekend!
The circus finally left town! My SIL and her husband stayed with us all week. Plus we were watching my nephew Alex. Then my brother came back in town with his other son and decided to crash here, too, due to some drama with his baby mama. Every room in the house had people staying in it. The 2 boys do nothing but fight all day long. And we are still down one bathroom. My house was a zoo!
They all left yesterday and Jack and I were finally able to go to a movie and watch The Sound of Freedom. The movie really pulls on your heart and it shows real footage of children being taken. I recommend seeing it.
We washed 4 sets of bedding. We have piles of towels, bath mats and floor mats, bathing suites, white laundry, dark laundry, etc. Those machines will be working hard over the next few days.
We're also waiting for sewer pipe replacement estimate, supposedly about $10k. Called home owners insurance and they don't cover it. Also neither will the home warranty. They said they may cover up to $500 in water damage but not the repair itself. Insurance is a scam!
Off to clean up around the house....
Take care, everyone, and I hope this new week brings new blessings!
I am diligently trying to nap before my last appointment of the day. I no sooner lie down and my partner decides that he needs to talk to me. Mind you, he’s had at least 30 minutes to do so before I went to bed. Today’s stupid question was if we had any caraway seed. SMH
Blue - I am sorry about your sewer line. Resleeving it can be a cheaper option if they do that there. It’s still expensive but less than a full replacement.
That’s it for me. Going to eat dinner and go to bed.
