Last night, I had what I thought was the beginning of a bad flare up. Within minutes my entire body felt like it was burning and numb feeling (more so than usual) and it was very scary that I had no control over this. I was also light headed and nauseated.

3 weeks ago I started Lyrica and ran out for 2 doses (evening and morning) before I took it again. This happened the next day (after 2 doses). I wondered if it was the Lyrica, but it had not happened previously (in the 3 weeks I've been on it).

Anyway, within an hour the flare up and reseded and I was "kinda" back to normal. Let's just say I was up to going to work today and I wouldn't have been if it had continued.

My question is, could that be a panic attack? I've never had one so I don't know. Or does anyone get flare ups that are temporary like that?

I have not had that sensation...have had some weird Whopper sensations tho...wish I could Help ya out with an answer...but can give ya a Hug !

I had a few anxiety attacks while taking Lyrica. I got all tense, it was hard to breathe and I felt like I was really scared kind of. My heart rate went through the roof.

I quit taking Lyrica shortly after and they stopped. I think they mention anxiety attacks in the list of side effects.

However, I should add that this also happened for a few weeks following a car accident - years before I took Lyrica.

What you're describing sounds different but maybe you're just different from me, eh? How nice to have it go away so quickly.

anytime you miss a dose of certain types of medicine you may have withdrawal symptoms that remind me of flu-like symptoms that come on VERY fast like a speeding train. I learned the hard way about this when I was on Serzone, an older med for fibro. As soon as you get back on your med the symptoms should go away.

I've learned the hard way to get my meds refilled before I run out. Hope this helps...hugs jilly

I get this sometimes - I go to bed and within minutes my skin is burning and itchy and my head feels like the onset of a migraine. Drives me to distraction then is gone after a couple of hours. It also happens sometimes after I've had a shower, so perhaps it's due to our bodies' response to changes in temperature? I'm not on Lyrica so in my case it can't be that.
