Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in these dragons we're fighting, that it can get hard to keep the faith.
Though it may not seem like it at times, I just believe in being a positive person and keeping the faith makes all the difference. Sure, I have my moments....
But looking for what gives you joy, even the littlest of things, is what makes the difference between living and existing. I try to look at this life and find something positive or goofy to turn my attitude around. I treasure my hubby. read humor (and write it), watch comedy to take me outside of my pain, enjoy my silly cats, enjoy the blues, loose myself in art, count the things I can do, seek out others who are positive too....
But I also find that empowering myself helps too--being proactive. Learning and researching is powerful because it puts you more in charge of your circumstances. And, like Narey is doing here, looking for what helps others...
Thanks again for a great, positive post!
Some days I feel hopeless, especially before finding this group. I find hope in God, in prayer and knowing that there are some good days, but I just need to get there. I also have to keep thinking and telling myself that things could be worse. I could have something that is killing me, something worse, which is sometimes hard to think, and imagine, but it ultimately true. And I have support, at home with my amazing husband who has always stands besides me, is so empathetic, and holds my hand when he can't do anything else. At work I have friends to lean on and help when I am having a bad day, and my family and friends have been so understanding and helpful (most of the time). I have always relied on myself a lot, and I guess I still am, my inner strength gives me hope that tomorrow I can pull through, that maybe I can do anything.
I do try and read my Daddy's devotional every day. Depending on how think the "fog" is it might be in the morning or not until evening. lol I like tto sttart the day with it, if my brain will cooperate. It helps to lift me up and keep life in perspective.
My hubby and my 14 year old son do it day in and out, our reptile collection keep me smiling, each of them have a different personality and just like humans they have good and bad days, so we never know how they are gonna greet us when we go to feed em lolol
Our crazy mutt makes us laugh all the time,
Good music, spending time with friends whether in real life or on the net always lifts me.
Talking to my husband is always fun, we have a similar weird sense of humour most of the time, he speaks with passion on subjects he is interested in and he has heaps of stories from his life before we met.
Again great thread thankyou
my husband, has been disable since 1986 he in a wheelchair.
i have seen him struggle to get in his chair.i have seen him fall when he would get angry and say this is enough bull shit. i want my life back. some times we just have to laugh. one day i fell and he came in his ele. wheelchair to help me up, he leaned to far forward and he fell out of his chair .so there we are both on floor laughing so hard that neither one of us could get up. no injury (lol)
some where in the bible it said God would not put more on us that we can not handle.i have to remind myself that all the time.
