What meds are you on? Any new ones?

I'm curious about the new meds too. But I have had this off and on since my fibro developed. It reminds me of when I had mono.

When I'm in a really bad flare, it feels like my body is weighed down with concrete....it takes a conscious effort to lift my arms or legs, or get up off the couch....

For me, it is the fibro, as that was before my meds were started...I'd check with your doc, tho, for side effects, and to make sure nothing else is wrong...

I understand and have had the same feeling many many times, and I know it scared the heck out of me. It didn't seem to have any relation to meds. or activities or anything I could think of. I've asked my Dr. about it several times over the years, and he has attributed it to the fibro. and assured me that even though it was uncomfortable, it was a fibro. symptom and I had nothing to worry about. Hope this helps.

I too have these feeling...way before i was ever on any meds are before i got thrown from my HORSE and it damaged my back....I could be walking from the lower part of our yard and this heavyness would just wash over me....I would just lay in the grass until it some what passed....thought i had sugar....But no,it was the CFS...this would come and go...never knew when i was going to have a spell....knew i'd have to find a place just to lay down for a while and i would get over it...After having a FUSION surgrey, thats when i got both FIBRO/CFS

My Arms get Heavy, Like I Cannot lift them, my Legs get Heavy Like I am not going to be able to take One more Step...during these times I do Exactly what my Body Insists that I do, I Rest..

Sometimes I just Feel Ill at ease..Cannot shake it..have NO Clue what brings it on...but that really wears me out as well..

Like I have Cement flowing thru my Arteries & Veins..

I feel like that right now. my arms are screaming for me to put them of my desk the feel like the weigh a ton. my shoulders feel like I have a elephant standing on them pushing me into the earth. So weird all my joints ache and I am super irratable today my hands and feet are freezing. Its cold and yucky here in ohio today that usually brings on this symptomns

I get this too, but also have MS. Some meds do this over time, read up on the blurb on all the meds you are taking, that should tell you if any of your meds are responsible for these symptoms.

Yes I do get that feeling with Fibro and don't take meds. I call it walking in mud.

I take 50mg tramadol twice a day and trazadone at night an hour before bed.

I have decided to keep a fact journal of foods, activities, stressors, etc... to see if I can track anything that might spark flares.

I got one of those feelings the other day, mine is that my legs feel like they are heavy and the lower part of my body feels weak. I was doing some work around the house and then I felt that feeling and had to sit down. I get frustrated with it because it gets in the way of what I want to do, feels sometimes like I cannot finish anything. Later that day, I felt worse and I noticed that my legs were a little bit swollen, like I was retaining fluid, I took my blood pressure and it was up, so I took my diuretic, then I felt better and the heavy feeling went away. Dont know if you or anyone else have had the same symptoms.

I get that feeling constantly. I have CFS and Fibro. I always thought it was a CFS thingy. I didn't know it was a FM thingy too.

I get that same feeling from time to time. I can't tell if it is anxiety or depression. it is very hard to tell people how I feel. Sometimes its so hard that I can't do anything but lay on the couch. it hasn't been that bad in a while though. Maybe you can write down how you feel and when you feel it so you can track it down. thats what I had to do. I hope you feel better- those feelings suck!

i feel like a big mack truck is sitting on me & i do drop down to the left on one side if i allowed myself i would walk like the hutchback! w/ hand almost touching ground!
i have etoxedoff almost everything except 1 norco10mg 1/2 2xaday & ambien10mg 1@nite
so i don't think mine is mes unless it is side effects from cymbolta & lyrica which was poisen too me!
