So I got pix from fam back home (video, I should say) of the Great Lakes rollicking in the last ocuple days. My one cousin-in-law was surfing on Superior, and anaother *drove to Toledo* just to take advantage of scavenging what showed up if/when the Lake Erie Seiche maxed out. (It did, she did, she takes beachcombing to a whole other level). Goldange, I miss back home when I see blizzards and big waves and mountains.
Fun fact: Fleischmann of the famed yeast owned a bakery and people would huddle around the smell, impoverished and hungry. So he gave them free bread. Lines formed. He coined the term bread line. It lasted from 1876 to 1918, when the family closed the bakery to focus on selling yeast. He'd set up the daily bread line in his will to last until... Well, until.
We still use the term bread line, though less often than a century ago.
And on that note, I have a cat to peel off my face, so, PUMA POWER to all and may we all pray we never need to be in the bread line or in a society so cold that it requires one.

Another day, another ouchie? My bruised achilles tendon (don't ask) makes my foot numb. Wonky on meds, whacked it.Now, as to fibro:A lot of reports are going around some parts of social media that fibro (and dang near anything else) are caused by post-Covid, post-flu, post-vaccinations, post-pick-something.1. Your risk of death or serious complications beyond "ow, that shot hurt!" are typically...

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I just got back from work and making a grocery run. The grocery store was tolerable but it will be crazy in another hour or so. The storm is supposed to start around 3 PM.
I didn't post yesterday because I was really busy finishing my cat shelter in the back yard. By the time that I loaded the straw into it, I was ready to crawl in it and nap. It was very windy and cold which didn't help. Needless to say, I was exhausted when I finally got to collapse on the couch. My partner thought the shelter was really "slick" and he was "impressed" with my engineering. He's not prone to compliments either. I'm already planning a redo in the spring to make it more better (lol).
My difficult client is fussing because I may not be able to (blizzard duh) get to her house tomorrow at 9:00 sharp. Obviously, I'll do my best but it depends on the roads and if I can get out of my sub. Thank God for new tires. Bangs head on desk.
I keep forgetting to mention this. I started taking Vitamin K recently. I take it with my Vitamin D when I'm eating dinner. Best absorption that way. Anywho, my energy levels are better/more sustainable. I noticed pretty much right away that I wasn't as exhausted. And, after a grueling day yesterday, I'm doing pretty well. Go figure.
Leo - The Great Lakes have been pretty wild lately. I've seen some video of it. Crazy waves.
I hope that everyone that is affected is ready for the storm. Stay safe, and warm! Waves!
We are supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow. I needed groceries badly so I went and got some early this morning on little sleep before the snow was supposed to start. Now I am off to get more sleep. Hopefully we don't lose power and/or internet.
Fantod, it sounds like your cat shelter is great! Feel free to tell your difficult client to shove it, and stay safe
I already need a nap…I walked Miki, scrubbed out a litter box (I should have done it days ago but today is the first day I felt like my back might handle it), and went to the grocery store. It’s time to walk Miki again, but my back needs a break. Tumble and Karrick must agree, because they both immediately climbed on top of me. Guess I’m not moving for a bit. Now Skadi is in on it, too. I need to finish some of my Christmas shopping and hopefully cook later, if my back will cooperate. Trying to leave less stuff for tomorrow because I might have to go pick up my car. Or that could be wishful thinking..
