She's ready for her close-up!

She's super cute, Leo. Gotta say, I miss having the tortie energy around. Skadi has her moments where she's very opinionated or dramatic, but not exactly in the same way. Not gonna get another anytime soon though. So after discussing VanGoghs history and meds with the doctor yesterday, she basically said I'm doing everything I can for him without making something else worse...he's got the 3 things that really suck to treat together. She also said I'm taking great care of him and he's lucky to have landed where he did. That was nice to hear, especially since I felt pretty discouraged that he was still losing weight. I wish I had him earlier in his life, but that may not change where we're at now. Still doing my best to give him all the love and care I can while he's here.
We have no doctor here today and Karen is still off (she got back Monday night so don't ask me why), so I'm here by myself all day. So far the phone hasn't been too bad, and I don't mind it so much if the phone is slow. I can amuse myself easily enough. I wish I could take a nap since it's a bit cloudy and gray (and hot and humid, still), but that’s definitely a step too far. I came in a little late and can leave around 4 if it stays slow, so at least I can get to bed earlier. I need that.

Afternoon! Very cute picture Leo! We have a feral tortie in the neighborhood. She definitely has attitude. I have one client with a tortie. She’s great with me and from what cat Dad says not so much with any else.

Raining like hell here. My head hurts and my sinuses are kind of cranky. I was shocked that the garage wasn’t completely flooded. That may happen later. but so far, so good. Looks the NE is going to experience some potentially big problems from Beryl. Our flood watch was just extended until 4PM.

I have one client today. Going to time it and see my Mom first. Fortunately, the client is close by. I’d really rather not go out in this mess but here we are.

Miki - You are a great cat Mom! I’m glad that Karen is MIA. She doesn’t contribute anything positive to your work environment.

Hi, everyone. Love the kitty, Leo!

So, I'm here. It's just been one big, painful blur since back surgery on July 1. I'm having trouble controlling the pain, of course, but I'm still feeling positive. There is a stapled, gnarly incision from my mid-back, all the way down. Doing my best to rest and heal. I have a hard time asking for help with anything let alone, extra vulnerable, embarrassing things like showering or getting dressed with my boyfriend's help. He's been so caring & thoughtful. I had been so nervous about getting the help I need from him during recovery, but I guess I was wrong.

Hello all. We had rain yesterday and storms predicted tonight. It just makes it more humid. One of our AC units quit, so PD and I hauled it into place Monday evening. Normally we would repair, but apparently they no longer make most of the parts.

Constant fall out from MILs passing. SIL makes me totally crazy.

Motley's next cancer scan is Monday. We will take any and all prayer for no changes/ no metastasis. She seems really fine, but maybe I am missing something?
