Post diagnosis, my lowest vitamin D level has been 8! My lowest vitamin B12 level has been 250. Without supplements.
I swear you read my mind sometimes b/c I was just thinking about asking my Dr. to check vitamin B levels. Thought that could be part of my energy issues.
Anyway, post diagnosis Vitamin D was at 12 and that is why I now take a vitamin D3 5,000IU supplement.
I'll have to get back to you on the B level.
B12 was normal.
And when I started taking more than was on the multi-vitamin label I felt way better.
I take 10,000 IU of D Daily in the winter sometimes 15,000IU
B-12 I take 3,000 to 5,000 Daily and Yes, this made a huge difference in my life.
Angels2u:)
They say its common for everyone of have low vit D anymore because of our life styles and sunscreens.
I have never been low on b12.
I think its wise for everyone to take a multi vitamin if one can remember.
I never take B12 supps, and have medium-normal levels every time.
Now, My mom was JUST dx'd with FM a month or two ago---and her D levels are high normal on supps she's been taking for three years. Her B12s were just done and she is middle-normal without supps.
