is anyone elses summers been hotter than the usual lately?
i can't remember Hawaii ever being this HOT during this time of the year. usual i do just fine with a fan but we recently had to install ac and it seems like hell when it's not on. anywhere i go in or out side i feel like i'm dying of heat! and here, it's plus high humidity....
i saw on the news not too long ago that AZ had temps like 117 or somthin.
who turned the heat up and what's going on here? anyone else feel like they're gonna have a heat stroke? what's the temps been in your area and what's the usual SUPPOSED TO BE?

Sorry you are in such a heat wave. Would gladly give you some of this rain. I hope the heat wave breaks soon for you. Try to keep cool.

Since I am in Australia, all I can complain about is the winter seems unseasonably cold here. So I have the opposite problem to you. I also hate the extremes of heat and just cannot take any uncomfortable temperatures whether they are hot or cold. Hopefully the heat spell for you/cold spell for me subsides soon!!

i can't stand temp extremes either, hot or cold. i gotta have it right in the middle, WARM! otherwise i feel like total shit.
I've got 100 degrees but only 10% humidity. Cooler this week than last. It's a dry heat and much easier to bear. We do have thunder heads - normally our humidity is less.
Lucky me today - I have a planning commission meeting at 3 p.m. that'll go until 6:30. The seats on the dais are luxuriously comfy and the building is new so it'll be nice and cool.
Bluesun - if I lived in Hawaii, I might go to the beach and float around in the blueness. Here, when it gets bad, I just take a cold shower or sit outside on the chaise lounge under the sprinkler - in the shade. I hate getting skin cancer. I've had enough body parts cut off/out already.
Well I have been watching channels like the history channel, TLC, Discovery and nasa and the news channels and they have been talking about these experiments for a long time. There is a satelite station in Alaska and a few more scattered all over he world. They were doing testing just pior to Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami and almost every time a shuttle launches from Florida a major storm follows with a week.
I know this could just be my paranoia but ............ I really wonder if man is not really going to far in the name of science
Did you know that Congress only passed the law that says our government can't experiment on U.S. Citizens in 1978? - about the time FM started to gain national attention. They didn't even have a name for it then.
We had a major heat wave that broke records last week. We were NOT prepared for it in this city. DOH!
I used to live in Phoenix for years and I DO NOT miss that heat. It was disgusting there. 117 is actually normal in the summer time. I was there when it would reach 125! Its dry but it still burns your flesh off. LOL.
