I'm having a rough day. They told me I could come in at 830 instead of 8, so last night I set my alarm 30 minutes later. Which would have been great if I had actually set it for today instead of Thursday. So I got up 20 minutes late, thankfully the cats knocked something over and it woke me up. I ended up rushing so much that I got here a few minutes early and my body hates me for it. And one of the doctors can barely walk so we're having to move all his appts to the other doctor, who's been a dick lately.
July has been a bad month for me. Have spent most of it at home. Don't know which has been worse - my chronic pain or my lack of energy.
To everyone else, best wishes.
Miki, I'm sorry you set your alarm for the wrong day. I hope your body calms down from the rushing and you start to feel better. Hugs
Bear, sorry both the pain and fatigue are bad. I'm dragging this week and all I feel like doing is crying from both myself. I'm praying it gets better and your massage and acupuncture help you.
I'm running on empty. The pain and fatigue are so bad, and after crying this morning for God's strength and peace to overflow in me, I realized today is 3 years since my dad passed away. One of the worst days of my adult life. I'll never forget that call while I was at work to rush to the emergency room.
On the plus side I got two birthday emails from my favorite bakeries wishing me a Happy Birthday and one free cupcake. I will be using those this weekend. LOL.
I hope everyone has a great day.
I hope everyone else feels better too!
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday! How come if everything went right i was and still am so depressed? It doesn't even make sense. Sighs...... Everything turned out how it should of too. I am weaning off the gabapentin going down 600 mg a week till im off (was on 3000 mg total a day), i had to stop one of the fluid retention meds making me very dizzy and sleepy. Hardly able to stay awake on it. About to go get fasting labs then out to eat with mom.
Miki, sorry you had to rush so bad this morning. Hope the doctor that is a pain treats you all ok.
Bear, good to see you, but I’m so sorry life is so hard on you. Just take care of yourself, and God be with you.
Twin, it hurts my heart that you were crying. I hope the rest of your day is better. Enjoy your cupcakes.
I have not been sleeping well, but was able to go back to sleep after hubby left for work. I feel a bit better now.
I have a little laundry to fold, but not much else to do. I plan to crochet. I’m working on a blanket for a friend. I’m almost half done.
Tomorrow I am babysitting my daughter’s kids. Good to see the grandkids again. My daughter and son in law are closing on the house they bought. And on the sale of their house. I’m so excited for them. From what I hear, it’s a nice place. They will still be close to us.
Everyone take care. Blessings all around.
Angela I am glad your bday went well. Depression doesn't care if it's a party or a plain day. Hugs and hang in there.
Miki I hope your body calms down after the late start. That grumpy doctor needs to look at all you do and stop being so grumpy.
Bear good to see you and hope the pain and exhaustion let up soon.
Twins my heart cried when I saw that you are having such an overwhelming time. Prayers and hugs coming your way. Free cupcakes mmmm.
Ida what an exciting time for your daughter and family. Enjoy the kiddos and let us see the blanket when it is done.
It is only supposed to be around 90 today but the smoke is bad. It is giving the sky an eerie feel. My partner is working from home today. My pain in my hands is much better. I am praying it's the new med. I am doing some light cleaning and sorting today.
Shout out to Wonder, Blue, Fantod, and the rest of the group.
Crawled home from not-so-free clinic (it was free till it lost funding in January 2017). They gave us anti-nausea meds and wished us luck. Gee, thanks. We got this huge lecture on not eating undercooked meat --- were both VEGETARIANS!!! who wash their food, thanks so much, I di dgrow up on a farm, I'm not a bloody idiot, I even wash the "pre-washed" stuff --- and that was the best they could do apparently.
I feel so... glad I see a doctor tomorrow. First time with this doc, even, but hey, I have a legit issue, see how she handles it. Like, if I tell her I'm a vegetarian, will she lecture me on *meat*?
Well, at least they didn't blame my being female...
Sorry to hear that Leo. I hope that you both feel better,
Didn't get much sleep last night. Body is not refresh today. Body aches all over and woke up with a headache. Hope that everyone feels better today.
Spent the night at the new cottage..... because hubby moved the bed and I didn't want to spend another night on the cot. I'm still stiff as h*ll, though. I hope to take it easy for a couple of days now that most of the move is done except for a few last items (more in my other post).
July's been a tough month for me too, I've been running on fumes every day... and this month has been like a train wreck that ran over me, backed up and over me again. I hope Aug is a better month for us all. I need to focus on preparing for classes now.... like ordering books and so on. I can't believe I'll be starting seminary school.
Mom flies out in a few days, so we'll probably take her somewhere fun before then.
Oh no, Leo! I hope tomorrow's doc is better than today's dumb clinic. Pfftt. I pray this thing passes soon and you and Mr. Leo are back to yourselves again.
Miki, glad the cat woke you up in time. Sorry the day is out of sorts... I hope things have come together since your post and your day is running smoother.
Hi, Bear! Sorry July has been so rough on you. I'm totally with you on that and glad it's over. I hope Aug is an easier month for you and you get to get out more. Big Aloha hugs.
Twins, yay for the birthday emails and free cupcake :). But sorry about the deathaversary and that you're running on empty. I pray God sends you an angel... whatever form that could be; a good doctor, friend, or caring stranger. (((hugs)))
Angela, depression is so draining, isn't it? I hope you find little joys in your day today, tomorrow and the rest of the new month.
Ida, I hope your sleep improves. Mine has been up and down lately too, because of all the activities. How nice of you to make a blanket for someone. Congrats to your daughter and son in law! How exciting!
Autumn, thanks for the shoutout. Those fires are scary. We had one a couple of weeks ago that was bad and the smoky sky freaked me out too, was bad to breath. I don't know how people in Cali do it every summer. I feel bad for them. Glad your hands are doing better.
Now *trying* to mop the kitchen floor so I can put down a new inexpensive area rug in there. Its a big kitchen and the floor gets cold in the winter from the crawl space. I'd rather not have a rug in there but it is necessary. The rug doesn't cover the whole area, just the center part so the rug stays clean. We were due for a new one and I found one on sale at Lowes.
Leo - Drip Drop is better than pedia light for dehydration. But, knowing you, you probably have some homemade remedy available. I hope that you two feel better fast. That is the worst kind of sick.
Back to work. Just wanted to say HI (waves at everyone). I will check back later.
ida, that was so sweet to say and really made my day. Sorry you aren't sleeping well, some days it's better but I don't think it's possible to sleep all night with all this pain. Hang in there and enjoy your g'kids. I'm happy for your daughter.
Autumn, I"m so glad you might already be seeing a tiny bit of improvement in your hands. I am praying for sure and I"m glad your staying inside with all of that smoke, that is scary.
Leo, glad you're home and hoping you have more luck tomorrow. Did they test you for anything? E coli?
Blue, I'm so glad you are moved in and ready to start school. I am praying for you too, thanks for the prayers! I know how hard this summer has been on you and I'm hoping school can keep you focused on something else that will make you happy. Hugs
Pam, I'm feeling it everywhere too, I hope you get some sleep and your pain lowers. I'm praying for you.
Fantod, I just bought a new rug for my bathroom, I fell in love with the colors, grey, white-sparkly, and aqua, so I had to buy the shower curtain along with new jeweled hooks. It's been kid stuff for the last 7 yrs. :-) Enjoy that new rug, I love prettying up the house.
My clothes hurt. When I walk I can feel my clothes up against my skin and it's just a constant reminder that my neuropathy continues to get worse.
