Well, I twisted as I lifted and then I fell down.
I am an accumulation of untreated injuries catching up to me after 45 years in some cases. O rmore.
Please, don't blow off childhood/teen injuries. They can show up on X-ray... a lot later. Ow ow ow.

Meanwhile, my indoor gardening is flourishing enough I've had to get more space for stuff to be transplanted to. So much for that 50% success rate. Always was an overachiever, but even my plants?!?!
Below, a pic of Dahlia b/c I realized how cute she is. Also, just after I took this, she started doing cutesy poses. This is what she REALLY looks like, LOL.

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

... observed a solar eclipse.

Last night, I thought that the ganglion cyst was better. There was less swelling and pain in that finger. Apparently it was an anomaly. It's not better. Very sore today and I haven't even done anything.
I start work at 3 today. Before that, I'm headed to the mall to return the last of the outfits that I ordered. Also, I need to run to Kohls and look for a lightweight pair of casual pants for my partner. His birthday is on Saturday. I have something else coming for him too.
I did pick up another short reservation for the weekend. Better than nothing. Honestly, I'm just not feeling it. I don't want to start work again. It's not an option to quit. Most likely depression and anxiety at play again... probably be fine once I get in gear.
Hoping to see the last of my Mom's car this week. Getting it out of the driveway would be nice. And, just in time for tire sales on the holiday weekend. I am getting half of the proceeds from the car. I need new tires so the timing is good. If the timing doesn't work out, I'll just wait for the 4th.
It's freezing here today and overcast. The weather has been terrible this spring. Pretty sure that I won't be opening the pool this year. Really can't afford it and if the weather is going to be like this/raining all summer, it's not worth it. I will work on my gardens instead. They are a shambles in some areas. I am going to turn the North side garden into a rock garden. Tree roots have taken over the bed and it is impossible to get anything to grown there because the soil is so hard. Might use succulents - still mulling options.
That's it for me today. Time to get back to chores and get organized to go to the mall etc, I hope everyone is having a decent day. Waves!
Miki, maybe they make Feliway for people?!
Fantod - Happy birthday to your significant other. I had half a piece of cake Sunday and gained a pound
My MIL says she has been discharged from counseling, She claims her counselor says she is completely fine has no bipolar, anxiety, depression, or PTSD. And that she was right her doctor perscribed pills are poisoning her. All of it lies of couhe'll.
No counselor in their right mind would say, "Stop taking your prescribed medicine, they are poisoning you"
She said the same after she got out of heart surgery. That the doctors said she was doing so great that she could be discharged and go striaght home when in reality she needed 24 hour care at a rehab facility. That made my wife's life hell.
I hate being lied to and be expected to celebrate someone else's lies.
I am trying to prepare for the fallout, like an extreme manic or depressive state. Or another health collapse.
Also the big contract I was working awarded at work. The finance person told me that the package is trash but still better than last year. I'll take that as a compliment.
