Not sure where Leo's at, and I hope everything is ok with her and hubby.
I'm so freaking tired..got out of work late last night and then hit traffic almost to the state line. Once that let up, I couldn't safely go over 45 because it was *pouring*. Like a monsoon. Couldn't see a damn thing. I literally fed everyone, ate, and then passed the F out. Today's another gross day and it's still insanely humid. Not super rainy but it might as well be. Luckily we're not super busy here, and we had a lighter surgery day, so I brought Nox to do his biannual lion cut. I usually try to do it earlier in the year so he's not freezing, but Koshka took precedence this year. And it's so humid that he probably won't be chilly for a while (and he's got a lot of warm.places to crawl into at home.
Here's a photo of my handsome lion. Hugs and purrs to all

Welcome to the Perseid meteor showers, the "biggies" usually every year. (The Leonids beat 'em one year IMHO).AND today much of the northern hemisphere will see 5 to 99% solar eclipse. How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...

I was offline b/c our internet service was down. They're switching things over/around and it's a mess. I'd get online for about ten seconds, then WHAM. Off again!
I need to ask help from the ladies: I am 53. My periods won't stop. I got an ovary and both fallopian tubes removed, myb loodwork says I'm "in menopause" but I am on day 5 of a cramp-fest from he**, with "flow", and the doc just says, "Oh well."
WHERE DO I GET A HYSTERECTOMY? I no longer care if it affects my urinary continence or sex life. Just get this crap outta me!
Thank you and may everyone have a furry-cuddly day.
It seems fairly nice here today so far. There is rain in the forecast. I thought that it was supposed to start early but no so much.
I got my high dose flu shot yesterday. I got two huge hives on my face around 8 last night. One of them is still there. That was weird. My arm is pretty sore but overall I don't feel too bad. Next up are Prevnair 20 which I know will make me really sick and then the new COVID booster which may or may not.
No plans for today per se. I have a small project to do in the house. The parts are here for the dishwasher so that should get fixed in the next couple of days. I'm reading "The Wager" and really don't want to put it down. It's been a while since I read a book that good.
Arrived back from errands yesterday to find that a tree in the front of the haunted forest dropped a huge branch in her front yard. It's on power lines too. She hasn't lived in the house for 3 years and only comes by once in a while. So many of the trees are in bad shape over there. Hoping that she removes the whole thing. I'm sure that she knows as the neighbor across the street keeps in touch.
Miki - Nox is so darn cute! I hope that you get out at a reasonable time and that the day is less stressful.
Leo - Does the HMO have an appeal process? Can you research online and find a GYN in your HMO that i2 open to a hysterectomy? You should not have to suffer like this. Will your PCP help? I dunno. This why HMOs are the devils spawn. It's about profit rather than addressing problems like this. I'm sorry. I hope that your internet gets fixed soon.
Time to get on with my chores and what not. Shoutout to Bec, AngelaJo, Milily, PuppyMom, JP, Blue and LilMIssy!
Leo, that's crazy that you are still getting full size periods after all that removal. Can you get a second opinion from another gyn?
After hubby got up and left for work, I went back to sleep and slept hard. Woke up at 9:30. It felt really good.
I have a haircut today FINALLY. The lady was booked up a month out. Meanwhile my bangs grew out of control and can't stay out of my face and eyes. I also have an appointment with my financial advisor early evening.
I have some good news. My husband and I started the process of purchasing the burned down house next door before the sewer repairs began plus the robbery that dealt a big blow to our savings. We considered aborting the purchase, but after talking to the bank about a smaller down payment, we decided to push forward. Initially the bank told us it could take 90 days to close due to it being an estate sale (the owner died in the fire). But the bank emailed us yesterday and said the title is out of probate now and we can actually close in 2 weeks. I'm really excited but scared at the same time. We are barely able to handle this current money pit, and now we are about to take on another. But if you guys know me, I like to take on a good challenge. So we'll see how it goes. Worst comes to worst, if it is too much, we can always put it back on the market.
Keeping you all both humans and your pets in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs
