Actually it's Hyland's Mag, PHos, 6x; it's a blend used for muscle cramps, muscle twitching and pain. I take 8 during a muscle cramp, and it goes away. I use it preventively, also. You get it at the Health Food Store.
Good luck with all of this. I can say, in this instance, I feel your pain.
Cherries are important for their ability to control inflammation. A growing body of scientific research indicates that inflammation contributes to diseases such as heart disease, arthritis, and obesity.
Sweet or tart, cherries are a powerhouse of anti-inflammatory nutrients.
A study from University of California at Davis found that regular consumption of cherries for 28 days produced a decrease in biochemical signs of inflammation in blood, including a 25 percent reduction in C-reactive protein (CRP), the most widely studied marker of inflammation. Elevation of CRP in blood is associated with an increased risk of heart disease and stroke.

I'm sorry you don't live in a medical marijuana state as it works wonders for fibro pain. They have some really awesome pain rubs, creams and lotions that work on contact. There are also edibles (cookies, brownies, candy etc) that also work well. There is a rub on cream that I know of that is made from the hemp plant that can be used for pain. (Hemp is not the same as marijuana as it contains very little THC) The product is legal in all 50 states because it contains less than 1% thc. Thc is responsible for the high feeling that the marijuana plant induces. The cream is a CBD reach cream which contains nothing psychoactive. The company who makes it is called hemp meds px. I have not tried their pain cream, but heard from others that it worked.
You can also try soaking in hot Epsom salt baths, using heated blankets, heating pads or soaking in a hot tub. As far as magnesium is concerned you have to find the right amount for your body or it will give you diarrhea if taken in excess. It can be beneficial for muscle spasms, but you must find the correct dosage. You may also want to consider body work. I get massages regularly to help keep my muscles loose. I hope you find relief soon.
Here's a link to the cbd cream on amazon.

Do you use Marijuana for your Fibro pain? Just wondering. Thanks! :)
If I'm having mild pain, or tight muscles I use the cbd enriched hemp oil drops by hemp meds or Dixie botanical dew drops. Both are made from the Hemp plant (cousin to marijuana) and are very high in a compound called cbd. Cbd is good for pain, inflammation, anxiety etc. You do not need a medical marijuana card to get the cbd enriched oils because they are low in thc and don't cause any psychoactive effects.
