Chair Yoga works good for me! It stretches and elongates my spine and works most of my muscles even tho i techniquely (sp?) do not lift myself off the chair. I have a 35 minute routine called Trudie Styler's Weight Loss Yoga (dvd). It has an 18 min session for Yoga Conditioning for weight loss, a 24 min total body yoga wkout,a 15 min ab yoga wrkout and the chair yoga. I only do the chair yoga myself. Cost: about $10-12 at Target
I have extreme hip pain during the night too, enough to wake me up. I have hip bursitis and I think that since I lie on my side there is too much weight/pressure put on them and thus the pain. (I am about 85 lbs overweight)
Right now I am experiencing all over pain due to cymbalta withdrawal. What is seeming to work for me is stretching, ice packs, the Meloxicam and OTC Alieve. I have just began to alter my diet for inflammation (anti) and am adding 3 suppliments: St John's Wort, Fish Oil and Vit C. As soon as I can find a mini Glucosomine pill I will add that too. (I have an enlarged tonsil and an annoyingly bad gag reflex, so big pills just don't work for me. Don't like to crack in half either because of the taste which can trigger the gag refles too. I was able/lucky enough to find minis in the above.
Thanks for the Gluten Free tip. Haven't given it a try yet. Will be researching.
Hope my experience provides some good info and tips for you. BTW, you really seem to have been doing your research and seem extremely knowledgeable. Awesome!
