Leo is off in the mountains, and the really jealous lol..although I'll be up north in the White Mountains tomorrow through Sunday. So this is where I'll be:

I still need to pack and get stuff ready, I'm procrastinating. Tomorrow morning is gonna feel really busy, I'll have to finish packing (stuff I'll need to use overnight or in the morning), get the kittens separated and set up with litter boxes and automatic feeders, bring Nox and VanGogh to work and then Miki to the daycare/boarding place. Hopefully everything will go smoothly with that. And hopefully I won't hit a ton of traffic heading north tomorrow. I wish I could just stay in bed all day today and leave later tomorrow, but I also have to try to get there in time for the rehearsal. I'll just make sure I go to bed early tonight I guess.
In other news, this handsome little kleptomaniac turns 1 next week. I can't believe it

And this is how teeny he was when I got him (because who doesn't need adorable kitten photos):

88FIn 1969 we decided to get married without a big wedding. Most of our friends and family liked large over the top for the time kind of weddings and I did not. First, I didn't see why spending so much money for one day when we have the rest of our lives to live. I have never regretted not having a big formal wedding. Another issue is not liking all the attention. Also, we have gone to big...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

So much for "we'lll have dinner together" with Hubby. I'll post that pic tomorrow!
I called him Fred. He was eyeing me the whole time, but he was very quiet.
We were warned about bears. OMG. We live arouned here. WE KNOW ABOUT BEARS. FFS....
And on that note, see y'all tomorrow morning!
I did a bit of shopping today, met a new client, did some laundry and fine tuned my driving schedules and worked..
I stopped by to see my Mom on the way home. She was sleeping so I left. My sister is taking her out to see the fireworks in about an hour. She was out this morning to go to the Y for a stretching class and the. a coffee klatch with her friends. That’s a lot.
I’m about as ready as I can be for the coming week.
Leo - I’m sorry that you had to come home early. Best to leave Fred to his own devices.
Miki - The white mountains are so gorgeous. I used to ho to Lincoln for the Highland Games. Just breathtaking. I hope that everything comes together .seamlessly and that there is no traffic. Kitten pictures are always welcome!!
Waves!
Miki- your kitty is soooooooooo cute! Happy birthday to them! Looks like a lovely retreat. I'm jealous, being stuck in Phx & all... You sound very organized with your cat responsibilities. Way to go! I hope you enjoy your trip & don't run into traffic!
Leo- welcome back from the mountains!
Fantod- sounds like you were busy today! I'm really glad you're still on this board. It's nice to see some familiar names from years ago. <3
