I hope Leo is ok...anyone heard from her?
It's raining, and I ran around all morning, literally and figuratively, to get stuff done before it started. I made myself go get more mulch even though I really wanted to crawl in bed. Not spreading it today but I want to get it done soon, half the garden is done and it looks weird. The parts that are weeded and mulched look great..I wish it wasn't so much work to keep it looking like that. Anyway..I have a kitty who's making it very clear that he wants attention. Hugs to all

I'm alive, I'm sleeping like a rock, and for some reason I wanted cherry juice so that seems to be helping. (??? Weirdo that I am.)***Infamous therapies over history:1. The Attic. The madwoman in the attic is a motif in literature going waaaaaay back: the nutty female relative is locked in the attic. (See: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte for a grotesquely racist version of it, and Charlotte Perkins...

We're all troubled.WSo, to remind ourselves we're not at rock bottom (this is a reverse optimism thing I learned as a kid):We are not living on the island of Krakatoa when the volcano goes boom!Yeah, okay, that sucks.***Toay in 1942, Pierre Laval announced that the way to free France was for Germany to win WW2. Pierre did not win a lot of friends. When the war ended, quite quickly he was tried...

I'm hoping/figuring that maybe Leo does not have power after the storms in that area.
This is the first chance all day that I've had to get online.
My mother's PCP called late yesterday to say that Mom has a fracture in her lumbar based on what she saw from the chest Xray. So, we hauled her out to the orthopedist this morning for a check. Nothing wrong - same fracture from a few years ago. Mom does seem a bit better today. The rinse is helping her thrush. Still waiting on her PCP about her bloodwork and lungs.
From there (it is quite a drive to the orthopedist) I ran an errand and saw pain management. That went fine. And, then I went down to the warehouse club for more petrol and a couple of groceries.
My sister cannot keep up with Mom. She finally starts back to work in a week or so. We will have to get someone in at least part time to help out. I can't do it. I start back to work tomorrow. I'm always exhausted from that and trying to manage my own stuff. My brother, as usual, is nowhere to be found. I do keep him up to date whether he likes it or not.
I am going to peel off the bandage from my surgery in a bit. I can tell that there is quite a goose egg there and I see some bruising around the edges of the bandage. I'm using Arnica pellets to help with that and swelling. At least it's done and over with.
We have more rain potential this afternoon. After yesterday's torrent we don't need any more or wind. I don't think that my partner pulled up the sewer cover on the parking pad and cleaned out the reservoir so it may flood again. We had our own private lake yesterday - about 2 feet deep in the middle.
I'm pretty tired. Came home to stuff not being done that would have helped a lot. So, I get to do it.
That's about it! If anyone else is out there take a second and check in! Group hug! Waves!
