What a coincidence... I tried Tylenol Arthritis just the other day and that was great too... I mean, amazing, and it worked for 8 hours!!!!! It was a real discovery as far as I'm concerned, and now I will consider the excedrine... was it a nightime excedrine? The reason I ask is because excedrin pm is acetaminophen, same as tylenol. Cool.

Yes, unless your other meds contain acetominophen or asprin product. I take it with my other meds.

If you have blood thiners, the asprin will thin the blood more. CHECK WITH YOUR Pharmacist.

Donna - the night-time versions usually contain an form of antihistimins (Benedryl) which help you sleep. That's the only difference.

The ones I got from DG also have caffeine in them for those of you trying to sleep. They don't keep me up and they help with SOME headaches and bodyaches. I can't tell it does anything when I actually have a migraine...crazy huh?

for some reason the tylenol arthritis formula eases things abit, depending on how bad the flare is at a time...I am glad you posted this, because I actually forgot..never replaced it and as you know, out of sight, out of mind.

Excedrin Migraine (which has the same formula as regular Excedrin) also has caffeine in it. I take it every morning to help with waking up (caffeine), muscle spasms (aspirin), and general take-the-edge-off pain control (tylenol). Like FIC said, you do have to be careful not to mix other pain meds that have aspirin or tylenol or ibuprofen in them, or you may get too much of a good thing. I've noticed if I'm taking too much aspirin or ibuprofen, sometimes the ringing in my ears gets really intense. That's usually a sign to me I need to back off of something. Something about the blood-thinning that aspirin and ibuprofen cause makes the ringing worse. I don't understand the science behind it, I just know it happens. If you're not sure if it's safe for you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

I take one elavil and one of the equate pain reliever and sleep pills. It helps me sleep almost all night and the pills combined haven't given me any side effects.

Also noticed a really hot bath/shower gets the muscles eased up for bed. This increases blood flow/oxygen to the muscles which help with the relax reflex

Gosh, I feel like I'm the only one taking prescription pain meds? I just feel that if they help me cope, I'd rather feel sane now while i'm 1/2 way young, and deal with the consequences down the road. That Aside, prescription 'Remeron' is a dissolving tab that makes me sleep like a hybernating bear, it must relax the muscles to the 'EXTREME' because the first night i took it, I felt not only good in the am, I felt GREAT!!! hope this helps anyone. jod

i take 150 of amatripline at nite .i take20mg clobeenzaprine and 150 of trimadol. and two hundred mg of neourtin.

JOD - No you are not the only one on paid meds. I have them but try to use OTC as much as possible. Actually, I take a "cocktail" which rotates Advil, Excedrin Migraine, plus script meds. I just alternate & mix as is applicable.

Hmmm, if VICODAN is either acetominophen based or asprin based, no. However, isn't Vicodan a muscle relaxer. Check with your pharmacist......

I can't take Vikodin at night before bed cause it keeps me awake all night. Instead of making me sleepy, it does the opposite. I do take amytriptilyne and 2 equate pain/sleep tablets. Those knock me out almost all night. During the day I take Naproxen. That has really helped the aches and pains for about 8 hours.
