Good morning! What's your favorite therapeutic thingamajigahwatever to do?
When I'm severley panicky, with PTSD, I can't rely on my fave breathing, so I have the Screaming Pillow. If I scream, I exhale. THen I can cry or breathe or whatever. Otherwise, I can lock myself up pretty badly. So I'm picking Screaming Pillow. I scream into it when my chest is super-tight from having to Hold It All In. (Don't ask me what "it" is. Depends.) I scared hell outta Hubby last week when I barely made it to the car and immediately grabbed a cushion (I have it for my back in the car) and let out the scream of all screams. It's weird, like I forget to exhale enough and then ... well, if I scream, it helps!

Turns out I can lose 7 pounds if I shave my head and get both breasts removed. Odd little fact for you to try to get out of your head the rest of your day.
Ever hear of neurofibromatosis? Don't worry, me either. But it resulted in a man growing a tumor that weighed in at about 240 US pounds. More than he did, in fact. It was a nerve tumor. Suddenly, I feel better about my life...
The smallest country in the world, in land area, and under 1/4 square mile? Vatican City. It's a country, yes, b/c that way it's independent of all national interests. (That's the PR speech, anyway.)
Rafflesia arnoldii is the world's largest known flower, at up to a meter (a yard) across and weighing up to 15 US pounds. It's a parasitic plant, and I linked to Wikipedia's image of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafflesia_arnoldii#/media/File:Rafflesia_sumatra.jpg
Not your everyday daisy....
Remember I mentioned that the gingko tree is one of the oldest surviving species of trees? Well, magnolias are also very far back in the fossil record, so if you see a magnolia, remember this factoid: The genus evolved before *bees*, so it's pollinated by beetles instead.

Now, off to the day! Which is... uh... ugh, catching up everything I didn't do yet. Yech.
Peace on your day!

Hiya My internet is changing today and I'm not sure how long the switch over will take, I'm hoping 24 hours at the most, but I'm probably being too optimistic We are changing to another company and going full fibre for the internet. But at least it's changing to the one payment rather than the payment for the home landline phone and a payment for the internet. So I'm not going to be on here...

Name something you hated as a kid that you love as an adult.

Autumn, I use the exact same pill organizer for myself. It used to be filled with meds, but over the years half of those meds have been replaced by supplements due to negative side effects. Anyway, it's very helpful, especially on vacations. I'm with you on wishing house cleaning didn't hurt so much.
I just asked my mom if she needed a pill organizer and it sounds like she does. All she has it a pocket size thing. When I'm out today I'll see if I can get one.
Susan, that's cool about your daughter. Yes, I've been doing horse therapy for about 10 or 11 months now. I just missed a month due to being on vacation plus taking last week off for the colonoscopy so I'm curious to see what will be happening at the stables today. There's also a rodeo this weekend for Independence Day :). I really hope to go.
Autumn, big hugs, and I hope you can recover. I did 10 minutes in the yard and feel like it was 100.
WV, lol on "play dead" horse:-)
I know I missed people, I'm sorry, I'm fading fast. No idea why, other than dealing with Mom, really.
Having an okay day, had PT for my knees they are weak. Been achy lately. Have an appointment with my Rheumatologist/nurse practitioner. I need to find either something else to take or another form of treatment for my fibromyalgia. Trigger point injections helped when I was going to the pain clinic but don't know if they use them for trigger points in fibromyalgia. Feel like a yoke is around my neck. Real sore from the walk to PT and back as well as PT and doing the at home exercises. Also been stressing about money and medical stuff such as my meds and what the insurance will cover. But all will work out.
Thanks Susan.
Autumn, he said it couldn't be meningitis b/c she could lean all the way over for him. I hope it doesn't turn into that. Your patio sounds so nice, and so do the sweet hummingbirds.
The foot/ankle pain is horrible and spreading into the top of my foot and shin bone. I decided to make an appointment with a foot Dr that has rave reviews. I called to make an appt and had to leave a message just to make an appt. I have been sitting around waiting for a call back and I need to get into the shower and get to the store. I really dont know how I am going to get thru the store. I would use crutches but elbow tendon issues wouldnt tolerate it. So, I will take my cane with me. REALLY
Im keeping everyone in my prayers
Xoxo lilmissy
Thank you, Twin. I'm starting to feel better already.
Lilmissy, I used to go rock hunting when I was a kid. I found an old arrowhead up in the mountains of PA right along a creek where I used to feel Indian spirits were watching me. Cool stuff.
Horse therapy was awesome today! The whip I've been using always cramped my hands while in the circular pen, so they gave me a dressage whip. It's lighter, longer, and bouncier. Once they showed me how to make a cracking sound, I could get the horse to do anything I wanted! I even got Apache to canter (similar to a gallop) 3 whole times today! Something that's been almost impossible for me. I'm so proud of myself. :)
I also figured out the reason for my husband's ape like behavior yesterday (and maybe why it's a common problem and / or we fight a lot).
What started the whole fight: I told him with stress in my voice: "I have a thousand things to do today, can you put the dishes away? I don't want to be late for my appointment."
He INSTEAD heard: "Get off your lazy butt, you good for nothing bum, and do something with these dishes!"
And I came to this conclusion because when we talked about it this AM, he kept saying that he threw the dishes in the trash as a reaction to my being on his case for sitting on his butt all day. Hm... very interesting. Those words never came out of my mouth. I told him I was simply trying to ask for help because 1. I felt overwhelmed and 2. I kept running late for everything. Wow.
