Oh well, no going back.
Decreased my opioid by half almost a month ago to see if I could taper off very low dose methadone, but the stiffness, tightness was so bad, even with muscle relaxants on board, that I decided to go back to regular dose. Not sure if it was mainly withdrawal symptoms: lethargy mainly, but unable to concentrate, very uncomfortable. Can't wean off this drug without another like it (the only type that helps: opioid + muscle relaxant). To hell with the current thinking!
MY LAST DAY AT MY JOB IS TOMORROW! YAY! I'm experiencing a weird mixture of relief at leaving that stressful place & fear of not finding another job soon... I've been applying to jobs every day. I had an interview at an accounting agency where they help you find contract or temp-to-hire work. It went very well. I am hoping they can place me quickly... Pain has been manageable, but I am finding that my oxycodone starts to wear off faster than it used to. I am afraid to bring it up with my pain doc because I always feel like they view all of us as addicts/drug seekers. :-( :-( :-(
LEO- I hate this new site, too...
IDAYJOY- I hope you get some rest with less pain today.
LOTSOFPAIN- I set my alarm on my cell phone to remind me to take my various meds throughout the day. That may help you remember. Hoping your day is better today.
BOBBII- I had to reset my password repeatedly, also. Annoying!
SONYACON- Yes, gradually increasing your exercise is frustrating. But, be careful not to overdo it!
SUGARBEAR- LOL I love how you worded your complaint!
SHAKOTA- I also tried to wean off my pain meds (currently, oxycodone), but it was hell, so it didn't last long. Back on them for the last week now... *sigh*
The puppy is starting to get it. He went 3 days without going on the floor at all, then slipped up this morning for no apparent reason. I'd say he's at about 80-85% now, pretty much 100% on peeing. We have to keep going, they'll get it!
