Some days we all need a pity party......
I guess this could go for both depression and fibro.....been a long day with pain, IBS acting up, feeling like i need duck tape to keep my joints together. Just been one of those days in which I really wish that I had not woken up at all. If I could take away the pain from everyone and it would make my life go force go quicker I would in a heartbeat. I know that is not what anyone would want to hear but that is the way I feel.
The pulsing, the headaches, the aches/pains of fibro are getting the best of me. It hurt to get out of bed this morning, but I did it. I had to clean the house with a lot of moaning and groaning due to the movements that i had to make while cleaning. But had to push through and that was the hardest part of it all.
Then to just keep myself from just stopping and not getting back up, I took my dog for a mile plus walk just to wear him out. And he is not the only one worn out. I'm trying to keep myself in some sort of shape so I work out to the extent that I can. Think I overdid it, cause now I'm barely moving. But still here due to the fact that I still feel the pain.
The depression has gotten bad but I don't go back to see the doctor for another couple of weeks....he wants me to see a therapist but my husband says that we've been that route too many times and it didn't work then so why should it work now. This would be a different therapist than any Ive seen before, this is for stuff that happened way back when that I can't seem to leave behind and he doesn't understand that. So now, Im really wishing that I was not here. He would be soo much better off without me around and having to spend money on me to get me over all this mess as he refers to it. I'm just ready for it to end,........the pain, the heartache, everything.
Thanks for listening and for being there so I can vent to someone. It is not easy to just keep it in, somehow it would come out and then it may not be in a good way. {{{HUGS}}} to all. Thank you.

Well, our drought isn't broken but our gutter is. Got two big storms rigth after each other and, wait for it, a tornado warning. Now, I was already running for my go-bag when I heard thunder. The air felt wrong. The sky was getting a color to the west. Been there, lived that, time to hide.No funnel touched down but the radar indicated rotation, and boy was it visible from the ground. My cat is going on trial for crimes against skink-anity. SIX in six weeks. Three this last week alone. The crack is maybe 1/4 inche wide. Maybe. Skink skitters past, her paw shoots out, her claw hooks in, she yanks, and somehow, having defied physics... WHAM. Skink-o-rama.Now, don't get me wrong, it's nice that she's a pesticidal maniac, but OMG. Skinks do no harm. They don't come inside. WTF.So,...

And being in pain emotionall or physically is so freaking hard. We know. We get it. A lot of us here have episodic anxiety and depression, or diagnosed issues (like me!), so we get it. We really do.
Purring hugs, Sabm.
We really do understand where you are coming from. It can be very hard and sometimes impossible to "play through the pain". I understand your frustration but know that you can find a way to overcome it. As Leo said, pretty much this whole group has some issues with anxiety and/or depression. There is help out there for you, don't stop looking/trying. In the meantime, come out here and ask questions and get involved in this community. I've found it to be very helpful. I hope you find some relief from your pain and frustration.

Thinking of you.
you are dealing with a lot. Going to a therapist is essential for you in my opinion. Does your husband not want you to go because of the cost? What does he mean by " It didn't work" ? Some people need mental help for the rest of their lives, so what ? Try to be selfish and do something for you, and do it everyday. I don't know how your relationship is with your hubby, but could he do more to help out?
Spring is almost here and I hope that you are looking forward to it. Buy yourself a new scarf or nailpolish. It won't get rid of your depression, but it is a nice distraction.
Wishing you all the best!
I doubt that if the tables were turned that you would be telling him that trying a new approach/doctor was a waste of time. I'm sure that he is frustrated but interfering in your medical care is another story. You deserve a better quality of life. Maybe your doctor needs to speak to him and politely insist on counselling and an antidepressant.
I sure hope that you can find some way to resolve this. We understand how bad things can get without proper medication and emotional support. Keep trying and keep in touch with us. Take care.
{{{HUGS}}} to all and thank you again.
Glad to hear that your Hubby has come around. Take care.
In the winter, I use this lamp the puts out some kind of, I think, UV light. That helps, too. I also take an SSRI, so I'm hitting the D with everything.
