This week took forever, or is it me?
Meanwhile, in the world's weirdest:
Einstein was right. People keep trying, but he keeps being right. Not always, but it's eerie how we use elaborate set-ups costing tens of millions of dollars and do an experiment and boom, Albert wins again. You can detect "ripples" in space-time, or whatever it is. But a new theory would possibly blow Albert's mind: Space is held together by wormholes. Which is like saying your yard is held together by mole burrows. It's kinda hard to reckon.
Two more were rescued alive in Nepal, against all odds. Considering the situation post-disaster, I'm astonished they're finding anything let alone survivors.
Why was Nepal's flood so rotten? Look up "lahar". Take out the heat, add ice. Now you got it. That wasn't water. That was geology moving at up to 120 miles per hour (almost 200 km per hour) at its fastest, which was at the beginning. Some of the villages buried in that flood of debris, mud, etc.? Were already 70 feet above the riverbed. So think how high that was. Interestingly...
Interestingly, the border crossing shown wiped out on so much video? Wasn't the first time it was lost to a flood in the last two years. It was barely rebuilt, in fact. Hint from Mama Nature: MOVE THE BORDER CROSSING TO HIGH GROUND
So why did a few places survive? Oddly, the debris itself coudl cause a breakwater. That meant the force of the water was lessened, allowing this or that building to survive. That said, the damage means no way that building is lasting anyway, but given what was faced, it's astoinishing how things worked out.
On that note, my ribs are killing me. Costochondritis strikes! I'd rather bruise bone than have costo, tbh.
PURRS from da PUMA!

No matter what critters you prefer, this tummy will ease your day. And it smells nice, too!

Still not sleeping.Mom's cleaners are quitting. She forgets they speak English and her cussing is AWFUL. I flinch, so imagine you hear that and you're just there to clean. It's like walking into a dragon mouth when the dragon's ready to light a fire. *sigh*My vet's office got hacked. Good news, they iknow it. Bad news, a lotta people's phones got infected. Thankfully, I don't use mine enough....
It is cooler and raining today. We need the rain and it is nice not to be sweltering in Satans armpit. I have to go to work. I really don't want to leave the house. It's only one call. I just don't feel like it lol.
I have a case full of cat related thank you cards and other bits and bobs that I use for my business. I lost it a while back and wasn't sure if I left at a clients home or next to my car in a parking lot while I was loading. The client that I have today had it all along. I was very glad to get it back. I really wish that she had called me about it. I suspect that she decided to hold onto it because she was angry with Meowtel about a cancellation that would require her to pay. I intervened and fixed it for her but she can be a handful. At least, I don't have to continue replacing my supplies.
The footage from Nepal was horrifying! I dunno why people continue to rebuild where they know that bad things happen. Nonetheless, it's terrible and heartbreaking. Did yo see the footage of an elephant rescuing someone from the torrent of water? That was amazing.
Got some thunder and lightning going on. Compared to yesterday, this is nothing. I was checking on my family in the Toronto area too. Toronto got hit hard on Wednesday. Flooding, massive hail and wind/possible tornadoes. They are all OK. This is the future with climate change. It's not good.
My brother is doing OK. The swelling in his feet and legs is mostly gone which makes him a lot more comfortable. He has PT today. I will either see him tomorrow or Sunday. We are going over to get his grass mowed.
That's it for moi. I need to get moving like it or not. Waves!
