Okay. I tried to get it on computer but no luck.

i WENT ON dISCOVERYHEALTHCME.DISCOVERY.COM AND THERE WAS LISTED A PROGRAM ON FM TO BE BROADCAST AT 8O'CLOCK TODAY. WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING IT. mAYBE IT WAS CANCELLED. OH WELL MAYBE ANOTHER TIME. LOVE TO ALL

it was on, it was very good... I did not really learn much from it. But my dr. all ready told me that I probaly know more about fibro then she does because pts. with it tend to do more research, because we have the time. you can go to the web site an order a free dvd. the best part was I didn't hear anything about lyrica, I did have to take my dog out so I may have missed it...

I set my alarm to get up early to watch the show. Although I was happy that news is getting out there and it's being treated as a "real" condition, they didn't get to the things that affect most of us. Nothing about flares, little about fatigue. Just my opinion, but the patients they showed did not resemble most of us. They did not show just how disabling FM really is. And what really got me, one dr. called cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) a tricyclic antidepressant. It is a muscle relaxer!

I got up early so i could watch the show. I agree with aksgidget,they siad nothing about flares and the pains that we go thruogh. The peopel that they showed seemed unreal as to what we go throught. Although i am glad that they are finaly brodcasting about fibromyagia. Hugs to every one and i hope each and everyone has a pain free day.

yeah a couple of things that came to mind that bothered me:

they only talked about diet for about 10 seconds....

another thing that bothered me is that they had 3 MDs and no DOs.

Overall I thought it was good - that was the negatives that I thought about.

I have read many of dr. clauw's research papers, he knows alot about the subject. since we are all different, its going to effect each of us differently. the people they showed seem to be very close to me, I guess that is why I some times think that I do not have fibro, lol.. I think the show was meant more for our loved ones and friends so they could better understand fibro. the imporant thing is it was on Tv... they said it is disabling, that was very imporant ... I think it was very postivive, and they did offer hope.. with diet, and exericse. I know that when I do the right things I feel better.. my pain is under control 0-2 I can live with that. my main issue is the sleep disturbances.. if I could just sleep 4 or 5 hours straight I be all right.

I RECORDED IT CAUSE I WAS NOT GONNA GET UP AT 5 AM TO WATCH IT...IM WATCHING IT RIGHT NOW AND I THINKS ITS VERY INFORMATIVE. FFWIFE HAS OFFERED TO SEND PEOPLE A COPY OF THE SHOW FOR SHIIPING AND HANDLING! FOR ANY OF THOSE WANTING TO WATCH IT ID GET AHOLD OF HER!!! HEATHER

Kimmy2, they did mention lyrica but they used the generic name of Lyrica in the video....
Generic Name: pregabalin (pre GAB a lin)
Brand Names: Lyrica

Also one of the others was neurontin using the generic name.
