Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Good luck, and I pray your pain will ease. A good friend has BPD, and it took her some time to find a doc who took her physical issues seriously, too.
I would suggest keeping your mental and physical separate as much as possible. Certainly, both sides need to know what drugs you are taking so you don't have interactions. But docs can be really bad about assuming things, ie a medical doc may blow you off entirely because they know of the mental BPD dx... They don't need to know that, they just maybe need to know you're in therapy for general reasons like most the world is ha.
I know some may not agree with me. But I work with medical records/transcription for social security disability. I've seen a LOT of health docs be biased about a patients treatment/possible dxs because of previous mental dxs... or because the possible dx, like FM, cannot be seen on a blood test.
I have also found personally that if my husband comes with me to doc appointments for things that are subjective (like pain, FM, etc) I am taken a lot more seriously. I reallllly hate that.
Burning and pain are both sysmptoms.
