Yesterday I went to see my orthopedic surgeon regarding this ever increasing knee pain. And the bad news is that I need a total knee re-placement...YIKES !!!! We are not able to financially cope with the 20% we would be responsible for. So doc wants to try SynVisc...at best it will give me 6 months of relief..which would be heavenly , it has been hurting since the 80's.
My question to all of you is:
Do you know of anyone who has had this done , and what kind of experiences did they have.
I know this is NOT a FM topic , but so many of us have OA , or know people who do , I thought it was worth a shot.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I known of people that had knee surgery. One had it and it went all wrong. so she went to another surgeon that did it right, Now shes OK. Seems alot of good luck with their surgeries, its finding the right surgeon.
I do have a lot of confidence in my surgeon and feel blessed to have found him. But you are absolutely right...not all surgeons are qualified and finding a good one is so important.
