Doctor advised:
ATP-20 for energy
D-Ribose for energy
MSM - for pain
that's all I can remember.
She had a flyer in her office for a supplemenet called Fibro AMJ. There is a daytime and nighttime formula. It has ingredients in it for daytime to help with energy levels and pain management, and night time for relaxing, sleeping, and pain management too.
I have taken it for almost a month. At first I thought it was helping, but wasn't sure if it was all in my head...so I kept taking it...
I stopped taking it a few days - and noticed a difference. Daytime energy was less pain was more and night time was more restless.
SO, this stuff works for me...its NOT A CURE. IT's not even a HUGE difference, but it's enough of a difference for me, so I am continuing to take it.
I stopped taking Fibro AMJ and my pain levels went up and energy levels went down, and my nights were more restless.
I started taking it again and I do notice a bit more energy.. a bit..not much..but I am thankful for anything..and night time is a little less restless.
- The D-Ribose helps with having energy, muscle pain and muscle repair
- 5-HTP helps with carb craving, insomnia, depression and nerve type pain. Acts as an anti-depressant so not to be taken with any anti-depressant medications.
- Liquid calcium, magnesium and vitamin D - for my bones, tissue, immune system, pain relief and lowering blood pressure.
- Flax seeds are great for IBS, stabilizing blood sugar levels and I grind them and eat them right away (after 20 mins, they turn into cholesterol and go rancid). Never bake with or heat flax because of this. 2 tsp a day (ground in a coffee mill) is all you need.
- Hemp hearts, I take about a tbsp a day with oatmeal but suggested is about 4. I don't eat oatmeal during the summer, so haven't been having these. It's for appetite suppressing, energy, improved circulation, lowering cholesterol, bp and heart disease. I can't say enough good things about these.
- Omega3 fish oil...for renal function, lowers cholesterol, heart, for 'fibro fog', clearing arteries and general health.
- Kyolic garlic - lowers cholesterol, detox, fatigue, nerve function, heart, etc.
- L-glutamine (once a day, in the morning) this is for leaky gut/IBS.
- Acidophilus/Bifidus - aids in digestion, probiotics, friendly bacteria, for yeast buildup.
- Goji Berries. Anti-oxidant, blood sugar and more. I throw a handful of diced up berries in my oatmeal and used them in my muffins.
- and last, my Melatonin or Ashwagandha for sleep. I take 1 3mg capsule at night about 45 mins before bed.
I was also taking a product called Total Well Being but haven't been able to get this from my local health guy now. I will look to order it soon.
