Yesterdays debate was well, shall we say, extremely serious? So I thought maybe today we would lighten it up some. Or am I? I guess it all depends on you and how you feel about the fashion world.
What do you think about the new fashion style?
What fashion style you may ask, as it seems anything goes now days.
From biker leather, to cowboy chaps. From showing it all, to dressing in black w/ black lipstick and makeup. From shaving half your head and coloring the other, to going bald. From going back to the 60s to jumping ahead to the future/ like something from outer space. From wearing their pants down around their knees to dressing like the hood. From being fashionably chunky to be anorexic thin?
Are you conservative, old fashioned, or modern.
Do you care?
Do you have kids? Will you allow them to dress anyway they want?

I allowed him to guy pants 2 sizes to large for him. He had to wear a belt. He wore them low, like hip level....I told him he could wear whatever he wants, but If I see the tushy, I can pinch it. He thought, sure....I pinches his butt about 3 times...a young teenage boy does NOT want his mom pinching his butt. He wears long shirts to cover the top of his boxers, or he has them higher.

Some styles that are worn by youngsters are out to shock anyway, so I don't tend to take much notice of them. I go by the expressions on their faces more to decide whether I should be wary of them or not. Some styles just strike me as daft, I will tell my kids if they look stupid in what they are wearing. My daughter has just bought a pair of thigh length, black, leather boots!! And she looks great in them. Depends on what she teams them up with, she reckons that they will be part of a fancy dress costume!!LOL!!! She loves things like bustiers that aren't underwear though, my son is a jeans and t-shirt/sweatshirt kind, but has lovely clothes to dress up if the occasion arises.
I think anorexic thin is dangerous and daft, so I think that a more rounded figure is better, like mine!!LOL!!!
They are also trying to find their style. There is a lot to choose from. They don't know what their style is, so they experiment with styles. This is another aspect of it.
QUESTION TO ALL: Do you think parents give their kids too much freedom?
And what do you think about 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10ect. year old wearing slinky, sexy clothes? I've even seen some parents take their kids to the tanning bed.
i know i am bigger then what i was ay one point so i know what is appropriate to wear ad what isnt.
although working in retail like i have i have seen some pretty sahl we say nasty ways people dress.
i live in a very black/mexican neighbor hood so i see alot of sagging pants and it is very annoying.. i mean reall how do they walk?
i dont really pay to much of attention to the other styles out there none of it bothers me .

Please tell me you did not mean this. Is it the parent's fault, if a child molester takes their child? Is it the child's fault, if they are molested? No matter what the child wears, a molester is not intereted in the dress, they are interested in the child...any child.
Are we going back to the age of rape victms feeling guilty because "well look what she wears....or she has had sexual partners before....and all that happy horseshit?

I hate the thongs hangin' out on the girls, my neice (21)does this and I always want to grab that little string thingy and give her a wedgy! LOL!
My boys tried to do the baggy pants thing when they were younger, but only to a point! I wouldn't let them wear them so loose they could fall down!
I think parents need to be more strict on the sexy clothes on their daughters, I hate to see the younger 'tweens dressed like that.
I disagree that if they do dress that way, it increases their chance of kidnapping or molestation.
Predtaors don't care, they just use opportunity as there way of getting to our children!
