Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
If you are able to, a soak in a hot water with epsom salt (if you have it), would probably do your body good.
Best wishes. I do hope you have some relief in the morning. Gentle hugs :)
Fibromyalgia is the big SHIT.
It's too late to not overdo so I would suggest you rest as much as possible - avoid sugar and any other food that might cause you pain, such as green bell peppers.
The Epsom salt bath is a very good idea. It will help infuse your muscles with magnesium and help them relax and repair. If you don't have any, ask hubby to run to the store and get some now - get the large size container, too. It's cheap.
Hopefully, he can give you a bit of a rub down when you get out of the tub.
And I don't know about anyone else, but I find a good inside-out massage to be very therapeutic - if you know what I mean. Most men are willing to help with that. Though perhaps they don't spend as much time on the shoulders as we'd like...
(There is scientific evidence to support this claim. I'll site it if anyone's interested.)
You're in my prayers tonight. Be sure to tell us how you do tomorrow.
It's all I can think to offer for long term. As for the short term, the Epsom salts bath ALWAYS works for me.
I hope you get feeling better soon... all the best,
Tabi
Take a hot shower/bath, soak in the heat, mild stretching, try to stay on the low side of things, take breaks out of sight to recharge' don't break too long people notice and it mihgt put you in a mini-flare, try not to dwell. with a little practice no one will be the wiser , you'll get by, fibro might try to be a little tough at night, be prepared, that hot water is real but tireing good luck , hugs, FibroAlpha
I wish I could tell you more as to how to handle your work situation, but I don't know how best to handle that. Will be thinking of you and hoping that everything will work out and that you will have better days ahead!!!
I believe that it is better to try to keep moving as much as you can. Also, I found that getting in a pool helped me a lot. The water took the stress off my joints and helped with the soreness and pain as well. Maybe that would help you if you have one close.
