Not to be a contrary voice, but my massage therapist told me that dynamic stretches (moving) are better than static stretches. That static stretches can make us feel stiff. I would try 3 days one way and 3 days the other. To turn the stretches dynamic, you just hold them for 1 or 2 seconds and then do more of them.. The proof is in the pudding.
I heard something that I am trying myself with using a ball to press into aggravated pressure points.
I have only been doing 20 seconds per stretch once in the evening and to be honest I thought that was good going! I started off with 30 seconds but found it too strenuous and actually increased pain.
At this moment I cannot imagine trying to hold a stretch for a minimum of 90 seconds.
