I did know this, but had forgotten.
This may explain whey we FMers can have such bad menstrual periods....?
Thanks for info! Good to remember!

Wish I could offer suggestions. Hopefully others will be more helpful.
Hmm, might partially explain the success of the estrogen cream MagicPill used?
I've tried the estro cream - it helps a lot.
I am on the Progestron cream now for homone imbalance. I wonder it one can be on both the Progestron and Estrogen creams at the same time.
Well, Thanks again.
Treating the fibro with Cymbalta, Savella, or Lyrica,if effective also treats those symptoms. Depending on your age (menopause, pre, post) some women need a little extra for symptom relief. Because my problems in the genitals are also associated with urinary tract infections i take vitamin C to boost immune system, use 1 gram of estrace cream twice a week to promote circulation to the area, which in turn plumps the tissues so that bacteria cannot go in the urinary tract, and before going swimming place a little aquaphore on the outside area. Oh, and only "natural" baby soap in the genital area. No harsh soaps. Oh, and for washing, never use a wash mitt, sponge or anything that has been sitting around, re/used. Clean hands only.
If your problem is less of infections and more of nerves going crazy, I had that too, while you find a med that works, an anti-inflammatory like meloxicam will decrease inflammation all over the body and reduce pressure on the nerves that are going wild. I had my problem because I have problems with my back. So the nerves in the lower back are the ones that drive the process. Other things that reduce pressure on those nerves is stretching --2 or 3 times a day. Look at spineuniverse.com or spinehealth.com for the "exercises". Else, look into an inversion table.
Best wishes. Your Pap smears, check for vaginal infections, etc. all up to date?
Just want to thank you all again for for comments and suggestions here.
I took them to heart and had a pelvic exam. My PCP then had me go in for an ultrasound which has revealed that the wall of my uterus has thickened and there is a possible polyp.
She is now referring me to a GYN for biopsy.
I will post here again with any updates.
Take care all,
rsimmons
I am so glad you went to the Dr to discuss this problem and that your Dr gave you a check-up.
I have a thickened utereus lining due to Endomitriosis, and that alone causes me problems, so I imagine a poly is even more uncomfortable.
I wish you the best with the biopsy and hope for the easiest, least invasive treatment to relieve your pain.
Mamy prayers, LuLu

(And apparently based on the typos, crossed while I type, sorry)
Hoping you get answers quickly and that the problem is minor.
