Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
I'm debating to take a really hard diploma course that will allow me to be a Recreation Coordinator. It's a 2 year course but which I will have 5 years to complete. There can be extenuating circumstances that I would be allowed an extra year or two, so think I could get it done.
Right now though, I'm working part time+ (about 30 to 40 hrs a week), renovating a 3 story farm house, trying to finish up the last of the renovations on this house and now, volunteered to help start a new kitty rescue shelter! Am also toying with getting together with a few friends to start a Christmas quartet to sing for the seniors at Christmas! Yes, I probably am a little on the insane side! :)
Right now I'm reading Tomato Girl by Jayne Pupek - it's the choice of my book club this month. I just finished (after I ran out of Alex Cross books)
I recently finished "Dog On It" by Spencer Quinn, the third in the "Chet and Bernie" series. The stories are narrated by the dog and they are mysteries with a large helping of canine humor.
I have the Kindle app on my iPhone so I'm never without a book - it's really cool when I'm somewhere that I have to wait, like doctor or dentist or anywhere that I'm on somebody else's schedule. I'm going to read the new Alex Cross book (release date 11/15/2010) on the train on the way to Orlando in two weeks.
I get a bit crazy if I don't have a book to read - or re-read.
Landmines in the Path of the Believer: Avoiding the Hidden Dangers by Charles Stanley
I also read my Bible.

I have a stack in my bedside table, a shelf of unread books, a book in each bathroom - in case I get "stuck" and need something to do lol. I also share books with my daughters and the biggest benefit from fibro? I can read books more than one time because I forget most of what I read, LOL! Silly but I always have reading material,
hugs jilly

I love to read when I'm alone and sick and need to pass the time. It brings me a lot of comfort. I had to stop for the last month because of migraines and light sensitivity.
I am reading Cure Unknown about Lyme, Lab 257, Howards End Is On the Landing by Susan Hill, and First Family by Joseph Ellis (whom I met and had sign the book a couple of weeks ago) about John and Abigail Adams. Waiting in the wings is the autobio of St. Teresa of Avila, the Letters of Edith Stein (I love autobio and letters and diaries, memoirs, etc best).
