I hope for her sake she never joins our ranks and is told "ohhh sooo many people..."
There are too many of us with FM. Hugs, Laur and all others:-)
Before I got on the multitude of medication I am on now, I was taking D-Ribose 1500mg daily. It helped for a while. Helped with the pain and low energy.
Hope you feel better soon laurjil
I am so sorry that your Doctor is behaving this way. It is outrageous.
I wonder if your Doctor was in this much pain if she/he would "wait" until the blood work was back and suffer for days or weeks, I would think not. It is sickening the way this Doctor is acting and it might be time to think about finding a new Doctor.
Also not everything shows up in the blood so in my opinion a good Doctor would treat your symptoms and take the time to really listen to you. Why would a Doctor dismiss your feelings and your pain?
That is beyond me but I know that it happens and it is just so wrong.
Try a heating pad and if you can take something for the pain even if it helps a tiny bit that is better than nothing. Something over the counter.
Also you can always go to the Emergency Room. Just keep that in mind.
What is the matter with Doctors? It is so wrong to me.
In the meantime maybe you could try the following to see if it can give you some relief. Try taking an Epsom Salt Bath with hot water and soak. Also, if you have a heating pad try to see if it can help somewhat. I have 2 extra large heating pads I got from Walgreens and I also have a heated blanket. Maybe try getting some lidocaine in the meantime or some other rub on cream from the drug store.
Make sure your doctor tests your vitamin D as many of us with fibro have low vitamin D levels, and it can make your fibro fatigue and pain worse. Optimum levels are between 50-100; not the low lab value of 25 which is considered normal.
I pray you get relief soon!
