Wishing for 18 degrees! We're sub zero here with negative wind chills. 18 would be a heat wave.

But prior to our cold snap, we had 40 degree weather and that change set my body off into a flare. I can't take advil....only tylenol. Wish you the best....just curl up with a movie and call it a day!

That's the same way with me. The temps are one thing, but it's the changing, up and down, that really gets to me.

My fibro doc said a lot of her patients are having a hard time with the changes (as I was cringing in pain in her office).

While WE all know it's true, it's kind of nice to have a fibromyalgia specialist validate what we already know - and with my hubby sitting there.

Last Friday it was in the 60s here and tonight it's going down to 15F - really?

Yes... same in my neck of the woods. These temperatures, especially when they go from high to low drastically, are horrible on those of us with pain. My doctor also mentioned the same thing when he saw me...he said that he was not surprised that I've been feeling worse with the way the weather has been and that he is seeing a lot of his patients feeling worse. Come on spring!

It is the vastly changing temperatures and wind that get me!! I keep saying if it would just stay one temp I might be feeling better. I am also ready for spring, but am afraid it will go directly into the hot, hot dry summer weather we had last year in Kansas. I was unable to go outside the house after 8 or 9 in the morning most days due to the high temps and wind. Would like to have more of a temperate and gradual change this year.

Kayak I am here in Kansas also and the temp yesterday was high in the low 20s and today it is going to be in the 40's our bodies just don't have time to adjust in anyway. I can't believe how bad it makes you feel. I miss the warmer weather so I can take my dog to the park and walk. I felt better when we did that daily. Yes it hurt but I felt better than now staying in the house or a work. I pray we all have a better day today. Many hugs.

The cold is killing me as well. We're in the Ohio River Valley and tend to get socked from the stuff coming down from Canada as well as the stuff coming up from the Gulf. Going from 60's to 19 with windchill at 0 really hurts. We had to bring our shepherd inside and guess who has to take her in and out??

Today we are supposed to get snow, UGH!!! I think I'm going to crawl under my heating blanket and heating pad and fall into a movie. Warm gentle hugs to all of you :)

LOL That's funny, I was just thinking the same as Wonder. That would be a heat wave!! Bring it on! LOL

I do know what you mean, Justkira. I see you're in NC. I grew up around Charleston, SC and I remember how much of a shock those COLD temperatures are when you're used to mild winters!!!

I know I'm in the same area of the country as Sunsetzz and we have been getting hit hard with wind chills near -20 and single digit temps. It's torture on the body!

So, here's hoping that Punxy Phil does NOT see his shadow next weekend! LOL ;o) And if he DOES, I propose we all pay a "little visit" to HIM as well as the weather man. LOL (I am a lover of animals, but I have no problem laying the smack down on the rat if we have to go through six more weeks of winter. LOL)

You see what winter will do to a person? You're after the weather man and I'm ready to take out a groundhog. Yikes...

This weather is NOT fibro-friendly at all! The constant fluctuations are so cruel to our bodies! As soon as my body adjusts to one temperature; the temperature adjusts again. I'm so looking forward to the summer!

I would like to find him too! This morning I opened the door and my ducks came in! Not even the dogs minded!
