I had my appeal hearing in April and the judge wanted an evaluation from a Neurologist and a Neuropsychologist to help him make his decision.
Yesterday I received a notice of an appt to the shrink they sent me for an evaluation in Dec 09. Of course I rec'd it after business hrs for everybody Fri., but any ideas about this situation?
Best I understand he wanted to have some understanding about how my cognitive limitations make me unable to work.
I'm so tired of this situation with soc sec. I'm tired of the pain. I guess I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

My therapist really knocked some sense into me last Friday about my spending. She said that there are needs and there are wants. She said that there is always going to be cheap stuff to buy, but do I need it? The answer is mostly "no". So today, I am taking back some things that I bought online at Kohl's, namely a 9 x 12 rug and a quilt for my bed. I also bought sheets that I don't need...
Do you have a copy of the records from the last visit? You are entitled to see your records and should ask for a copy. They keep them on a DVD now and you get them for no charge.
These government paid doctors are not on your side so you need to protect yourself and be as prepared as possible.

If it turns out you need to see the psych twice for the full evaluation (and some judges are requiring them now to verify whether or not any significant changes have happened), then find out exactly what was said on the first visit and that will help you be careful on the second visit.
