I've read the book and think it's very interesting. I do better on my weight when I eat a high protein diet.
INteresting site, Narey! The site mentions type O is more prone to ulcers. This is b/c ABO phenotype (that's the gene expression) affects susceptibility to infectious disease---it comes down to molecular-level binding sites---and type O is more prone to infection with H. pylori, which is the prime candidate in most stomach ulcers. That said, I have never once tested positive for H. pylori---I got my bad stomach b/c there's a glitchy duct in my GI tract, inherited from Dad, who got it from his mom...etc. I DO rely on DGL, but that's b/c I hate Big Pharma!
Sorry, my premed days came out there, I was fascinated by ABO typing related to disease susceptibility, morbidity, and mortality.
Some of what is said is to me common sense regardless of your blood type. I don't personally think bloodtype affects/shapes personality, but I do think there is merit to the idea that bloodtype can help shape your health, b/c like I said above it affects response to infectious disease. And we're all stuffed full of bacteria, so...
Sorry, wrote a novel, but this is up my old alley, I got all excited. *blush*
Ahem,. Anyway. Type O. Positive. *slinks away*
