This may seem weird but I was curious how many people suffer from SAD and where do you live. I live in Colorado and I have SAD. Somewhere in my crazy mind I think if I move to Arizona or Nevada I wouldn't have to deal with it. It's hard enough dealing with fibro and all that comes with it much less adding SAD too! Thanks for any input.

I live in Canada and I was wondering if I might have it. I have noticed a definite elevation in my mood since it started warming up.

You may very well have it. I love all of the seasons but I struggle with depression between January thru April. Thankfully this year it hit me in March and just this week started feeling more energized and my mood is much better. I hope others will respond with different States they live in. Thanks to those who have already responded.

I live in New York and I realized that my mood was changing as it got darker about 10 years ago. A little Zoloft makes me feel normal. I go to Colorado often since my brother and nieces live out there. I always feel energized, since there is a lot more sun there compared to the short, dark days up here in winter.

I have not been diagnostic with it but I feel better when there is sun out. I'm from Ohio.

I live in Portland, Oregon and we have a lot of gray, rainy, dreary days during the winter. I got one of those special lights on my desk for my SAD and I think it helps a little. I'm much happier on sunny days.

Thank you for your replies. I am planning on buying a light box to see if this will help. I have just recently went to a tanning booth and feel much better with the light and warmth. I know its not the best solution but its better than laying in bed depressed.
