After that, as I entered my teens, it seems like I always had Strep Throat. Later on, I had Walking Pneumonia in the middle of the summers for quite a few years.
If it wasn't one thing, it was another. I got married at 17 and my then hubby broke my back in two places beating me. I was his regular punching bag and that went on and off for five years.
I've also had Mumps, Measles and Rubella.
Is any of this connected to Fibromyalgia?
Any form of trauma can start the ball rolling down the Fibromyalgia pathway. With me it was an attack of Epstein-Barr Virus. Seems like Epstein-Barr is often implicated in starting fibromyalgia. But in 17 years of reading everything I can get my hands on about fibromyalgia- never Rheumatic fever that I've read. But like I said, any trauma can do it

When I had the RF I couldn't walk, and it was worse on my right side which is always worse and weaker now.
So I would be very interested to know about other people that feel there might be a connection?
