Hey all, bf found out last night that his mom (J) and her bf (C) were in the hospital this weekend-they were sitting on a swing when the beam holding it fell on them. J had to crawl up to the house to call for help. She has a mild concussion and 4 stitches and C has a severe concussion and 10 staples. They live in TN so he's not able to visit right now, and they don't live with anyone else. One of his sisters had a falling out with J and probably wouldn't go check on them and the other would go but would panic and have trouble noticing any issues. Bf is really worried about them, he's going to call every day to check in and make sure they're coherent, taking any meds, able to eat etc (my sister has had several concussions so I told him what to check for). Obviously he's really worried about them, he's very close with J, and it doesn't help that TN reopened pretty early and is seeing a spike in covid cases. If anyone is able to keep J and C in their thoughts, pray for them if you're religious, please do

How cool is that? Your best bet is to be in the UK or norhtern Spain, where totality is excellent before sundown. Me, I'll get a super duper tiny itty bitty slice of it, so little that it won't be noticeable. New...
