Prayers and positive thoughts much needed!

About 2 months ago I ended up in urgent care with severe pain in my right upper abdomen. They sent me for a CT scan and had me follow up with my primary. My primary thinks it's my gallbladder (family history of gallbladder problems), and sent me in for an ultrasound. That came back fine, he told me I had "Murphys sign" (extremely tender during ultrasound) and sent me in for a HIDA scan. After getting my insurance sorted out (I'm on my husbands insurance and they thought I still was on my old insurance) I finally got in. Because of the holiday I likely won't hear anything until Friday, and I'm so anxious for the results.


I've been in constant pain (in that specific area, not fibro pain which is also constant), and I can barely eat cause everything seems to put me in pain. Pain on top of pain has made me even more exhausted and my doctor hasn't prescribed me anything for the pain.


If my gallbladder isn't functioning properly then I need surgery. If it isn't my gallbladder I'm going to be sent in for an endoscopy.


I am praying I get the results earlier rather than later..

Healing wishes. I've had to do that, and by the time they got to the decision-making point... it had cleared up on its own. I will wish some magic healing for you, too:-)

Prayers, i was hospitalized i got so bad back in 2014 with my gallbladder. They didnt know what it was the first 6 days until they pushed on just the right spot on my stomach. Then they sent me for a hida scan and it took 3 hours for me to get thru it i kept throwing up the stuff. Turned out to be one of the worst gallbladders the surgen had seen, i had surgery the next morning and it was the best thing they could of done. With in 12 hours i could eat and drink and i hadent eaten in 2 weeks. I was NPO for over a week because i coudlnt even tolerate water. Sending you prayers they figure it out!

Well my gallbladder seems to be functioning fine, which threw me off considering the HIDA scan (while they gave me the injection) hurt and made me nauseous. I'm being sent to a gastroenterologist for evaluation and likely an endoscopy.

I guess that's a good thing, but it's a shame it wasn't something easily find-able, if you know what I mean. Good luck, hope it goes or they find the culprit

hows things going? I have fibromyalgia as well and have experienced the exact same thing- the pain lasted for months- it got so bad all I could eat was jello and then for a bit I couldn't eat anything at all because it hurts so bad- I lost a lot of weight but the test all said everything was ok.... thinking it was just some inflammation from fibro. Hope all is going well and answers have been found...

Praying for you, but try not to think the worst of things though I know it's hard, I find that gives you nothing but anxiety and stress you just don't need.

I feel for you. I had severe gallbladder attacks for the whole 8 months I carried my daughter. Then when she was born she had breathing problems and I didn't get surgery for another 8 months. By the time I got it I was throwing up everything including water. I hope they find out what is causing the problem quickly and can fix it. I feel sad that you have to suffer so. I will be praying for you and hope you get better real soon.
