When I first became ill with fibro, I was recovering from the flu....My initial symptoms were numbness, tingling, and weakness in the extremities. The neurologists and endocrinologists thought at first that it was Guillaine-Barre, but it only progressed to a point, then stopped. Scary stuff.....

I received the series of post exposure rabies vaccines 4 years ago and was warned that guillian-barre was one of the biggest risks for me. They initially attributed some of my symptoms to that, but, like Cajun, it did not progress to full paralysis. I was diagnosed with Serum Sickness instead, then either secondary fibro (fibro with a known cause...in my case vaccines) or Undifferentiated SpA...a type of inflammatory reactive arthritis with a known cause...again...the vaccines.

Vaccines are scary things. My youngest son had a violent reaction to his 7th grade meningitis and Hep B 1st vaccine. He spent a month in bed. Due to my reaction and his reaction, our doctor advised against the booster for him.

i am not anti-vaccine, just REALLY concerned about all of the garbage additives in them. Thimerosol and squalene are used to extend the shelf life and make them cheaper. Thimerosol is mercury and squalene is a petroleum product. Every study that has been done has shown that mammais injected with squalene end up with MS like symptoms. Severe arthritis is also a side effect.

This reaction...Serum Sickness is also referred to as "the Creeping Death". It slowly spreads through the system causing more and more damage.
