What a great idea! Abandoned bldgs represent how we feel so often, lonely and lost. What represents chronic pain? Chronic fatigue? Maybe the emotions that go along with it. Overwhelmed is a good emotion. Standing in the middle of everything going on at once, trying to juggle it all when our arms don't work right. And, the fibro monster, creeping up on us and kicking out ass. We are just fine and he envelops us, completely incapacitating us. You could maybe do something with that?/

Can the photos be something other than people?

A couple of years ago I was filling up my weekly pill dispenser and I had walked away and come back and saw all my different prescription and supplements together on the table and I was quite startled that I was taking so many pills.

I took a picture of all of them together on the table like that. Then I hid the picture in with my medical files because, it hurt to see it.??

Take a trip to the hospital or a retirement home.

Maybe a black and white picture of rain on a window. I know that the ocean at low tide can be a lonesome looking place, all that stretch of sand and rocks and the ocean so far away you can't seem to touch it.

One idea is a frail looking person...thin, pale, holding onto a toilet seat awaiting for the 'volcano' to erupt. This is pain expressing itself in my body...I gave natural child birth 7 times, I had 6 miscarriages...and didn't throw up from the pain once....because this pain is much worse. The burning skin...the tired body....I walk three steps in the mall and then crouch down because the muscles in my legs, back, and neck are not able to carry my torso...and in order to recharge, I have to crouch - which HURTS.

Someone walking or crawling in the desert? The Gecko saying something to the fibro patient...hmmm....maybe not.

A person with bound hands and feet, stressing out on the railroad tracks.

A hobbled racehorse - wounded animal.

thank you all so much for your input, this helps me build on my ideas. I not only wanted to display it from my viewpoint but from how all of you feel it as well.

How about a photo of someone in a large, busy crowd (holiday shopping at the mall?), and everyone is in color, except for the FM patient, who is standing still in the center, and is in black and white?
